I agree, it's the hair.. I was mildly disappointed when they changed it at the end... And he lost his hat!... at least.. I don't recall seeing it at the end... Mayhaps I need to watch the end again simply to... check on that...

Don't worry, I can't draw in Photoshop either!
However, I'm pretty good at cutting out a picture and placing it on another. For example, I'm getting good at cutting Temuera Morrison's (Jango Fett/Clone Soldiers) face and setting it onto a Clone Commando drawing/illustration. This technique, though, would be a bit harder with Hatter's wild-esque hair. It would take a LOT of patience and a LOT of time to outline him with justification. I think the simpler method you described using for your piece is best, and you had done so beautifully!
I really don't have an interest in Jurassic Park and never heard of Primeval (I know I live under a rock!), but if I come across Potts in something else, I may be inclined to investigate it further.

he hasn't done a whole heck of a lot, sadly. Mostly bit parts, Conner Temple in Primeval and this. Like i said, i only ever watched Primeval for Conner. (i don't know where you live but Primeval is english and not terrible popular outside England except with anglophiles like me so not having seen it doesn't mean you've been living under a rock)

I live in the US so we don't get a whole lot of British shows...mostly what's on BBC America.
Perhaps, Hatter will be Potts "break-out" role, and with the fanbase he's received for playing this character, it might help give him more exposure now in the US.

it was on BBCAmerica. That's actually where I watched it. but it ended last spring and they don't seem to be still playing it like torchwood and doctor who.
I hope to see him in some more roles.

I just checked Internet Movie Database (imdb.com), and Alice is the last thing they have him listed in. I know that site isn't always reliable, but maybe he'll pop up again soon in something worthwhile! Keep your fingers crossed.

IMDB is pretty reliable. more so if you pay for IMDBpro. As a film student, we are instructed to use it.
One thing that looks interesting, he did a miniseries in 2003 called Strange, with Richard Coyle from Coupling in the lead role. Unfortunately it's not on DVD anywhere and i can't find it streaming..... hopefully that will find it's way to DVD and we can rent it.

I just cropped a bunch of picture with edge feather on 30pt and organized it the way you see it. (and added text) it's really not hard. i want to be able to do stuff a bit more stylistically but i haven't figured out how to do that. (i also can't draw on photoshop cause i can't control a mouse that well, I want a Modbook so i can actually draw in photoshop)
You should check out Primeval for more Andrew. If you like Jurassic Park, you'll like the show, but for me the only reason i ever watched was Andrew. He's also i 1408, though not a lot.
