We should not just remember, but at least try to forgive. I hope that speaks to some, and for others, I can understand that it may not. Pray for the departed. Never again.

I love how this picture kind of suggests that there were two paths (holocaust, or no holocaust) and that the straight path of the holocaust was taken because it was easier than to fight it off, than to simply go the other way.
If that makes sence.

the monochrome does justice to the subject of the picture. seeing it in vivid colors would diminish the impact of an extermination camp. the emphasis on the railroad leading to the camp rather than the camp itself is also a strong one. good work.

gorgeous picture, yet terribly depressing at the same time.
I had to write a research paper on concentration camps not to long ago
I could hardly get through it without crying.

Auschwitz?..I regretfully couldn't have the opportunity to visit there...Even in the photo the land seems to be haunted, a bloodbath place full of all the humanity's shame.
Technically i can say that this would be a better photo if the horizontal line was straight, still, it is beautiful and your work is full of feelings.

Well, I am glad to you came out of the experience with a better understanding of human suffering, because very few people in this world would get to experience being able to visit a place like that, me being one. Makes you think that no matter what is going on in your world, you have it very good compared to those that were in the prison. Humbling, huh?
