This looks gorgeous, and so realistic! I'm at a complete loss as to how you do it!

Thank you!
I start with a line sketch, made over several layers. Super rough, basically getting the general structure right so she doesn't end up with Picasso-face.
Then I do a slightly cleaner sketch over the top, and hide all the other layers.Β
After that, underneath the line layer I begin blocking in colours, not paying too much attention to detail so I just have the forms all there.Β
That done, I hide the line layer. What hides beneath is a blobby abomination. This is basically my clay which I refine, playing close attention to the reference. I go over and over until most of the basic details are about right. In some areas, such as the eyes and the jewellery, I'd zoom in as much as 300%.Β
Once I've gone over all the main details, I set the zoom to 100 and using the guide tool, I partition the painting off into sections. I then go section by section refining detail.Β
Zoom back out, give it a general look over to see if there are any glaring mistakes, and then I can call it a day.Β

Ha, it took me a lot of trial and error to work out a workflow that works for me. I wonder if I could have crammed the word 'work' any more into that previous sentence...
