Yes I read a full page article on him in the mail, remarkable man, could have flown the X-15 but did not want give up his UK passport!
Also he could have been the first Britain into space but for the same reason..
Fine man..

A film about his life would be most welcome and years ago it would have been made but today people are more interested in over-payed sports and film stars.

It would but I deeply suspect it would be a very badly made CGI infected item.. With a person who is way to PC and good looking taking his part..
Nothing is made for people like you and me (and the millions of others out there), it generally involves promoting Britain as it used to be, Great! Not an EU infested monster that needs putting down..

Too true. Although CGI has it's place in films today it shouldn't be to the point where it takes over.
Good character based films seem to be few and far between today.

True, nothing wrong with 'Good' CGI, and for a Falklands film, it woulf have to be a must, as we have NO Harriers now flying.. Coz we are crap here..
Indeed, and I laughed when I read this, Duxford, in their wisdom, are titling the biggest show of the year, a 'Fighter Command Tribute'.. Nothing wrong with that mate..
Now here is the catch, just what's left flying here that Fighter Command used..? Certainly NO Jets! Hunters are grounded and most other types are now gone.. That leaves oh! Spitfire and yep... Hurricane again.. A few Biplane types are around, a Fury and Gladiator (ever show), but you have to wonder why? Why not the RAF in general..
I'm moaning now.. I'll stop..
I have started going to Shuttleworth more as they have different aircraft and much more varied.. Duxford don't seem to shift out of the Spitfire rut.. (sounds bad doesn't it..?

"Of all time" is rather an extreme statement (I mean in general!!) But quite possibly, at least among aficionados. A Mk XVI or XVIII? I see it's a model, Griffon-powered Spit.
Nice!

Spitfire wing shape is the most easily recognised of any aircraft.. As for which Mark, well, that is a taking point.. Most pilots rate the Mk 9 as the best to fly and WW2 pilots rate it best as well..
This is a Griffon, and by far the best Seafire.

Well, there are those delta wing planes, also very recognisable!
Ah a Seafire.
