My DnD PC from her early days to her high adventuring current state.
Gnitsel (silent "g") Mossbloom Grovesower
Stage one: bright-eyed innocence, forest baubles/treasures and maps.
Stage two: The beginnings of a seasoned adventurer sporting repurposed, pink remnants of her fancy dress that a party member accidentally burned with questionable placement of a wall of fire. A familiar was summoned by studying hard with a befriended wizard - a purple starling with a huge chip on her shoulder. Around the necklace is a concealed bottle with a guiding spirit and on the arm, a tattoo of her deity's symbol.
Stage three: a wiser and more reserved gnome who has felt grief and loss, inexplicably taller after being infused with strange dragon magic. Her eyes are now pupil-less pools of mercury and a silver strand streaks through her hair. The silver scale dragon armor is made from gifted scales from her beloved dragon friend/patron, but her former mementos are not forgotten: a scrap of the burned dress reminds her of the lost friend who ruined it, and a strip of the homespun green will forever be a link to her forest beginnings. The jagged scar that runs around her right arm is a token from a terrible battle with a green dragon who bit the arm off and took her life in one bite - only for death to be instantly warded off by the sacrificial heal from another fallen friend.
