Oh man was this one fun! Special commission from Etsy. My first wings! alright lets start from the top. The knobs are felt, I stuffed them and put some light corset boning to get them to stick up. The wings, (agh the wings) First off they are really big. About the size of a piece of poster board each (which is what I used to make the pattern) They are made of felt, with a layer of buckram. The wing veins are quilted in. The back piece has a piece of wood with wire 9 gauge wire threaded through two holes. the strapping is sewn onto this piece. I need to find some better compression strap buckle things before I mail this out as they weren't holding well. but oh man they are awesome! The tail is really big. I couldn't find light yellow felt so the under bit is actually polar fleece. It's filled with styrofoam pellets so it is surprisingly light. The flame tip is felt on felt, slighty stuffed. I piece of wire is inserted to keep it sticking up and goes part way up the tail. Didn't need wire for the tail as it is so light! Love the styrofoam pellets for tails this size. really this is all up with only belt loops. Love love love this piece. Although It is expensive! Just to let you all know!

I apologize for the images, The lighting is terrible, no one is home so they are done with the timer, and my camera is starting to die. (It only focuses half the time) Any one else having that problem with your Nikon Cool pix? I mean it's a few years old but really it should last for longer!
