The shot is taken near Errwood Hall in the Goyt Valley area of the High Peak, Derbyshire.
The house is ruined but looked after and there is a small burial plot just further up the hill that was for the family and loyal servants. This is their burial view.
It's the quietest place I know. No cars, planes, machinery or what have you. Just the odd person and the sound of children playing occasionally but mostly just birds singing. Love the place.

It's so rare to see someone skilled at both portraiture and landscape photography...but when you do see it, it's quite amazing! (And no, I'm NOT skilled at landscape photography. I'm...adequate. Nothing's wrong with my stuff...but there's no spark. *shrug* Maybe I'll tackle it when I'm as good as I want to be at portraits. If that day ever comes, that is!
