Oddly, not really.
A lot of people had told me that near the heart is about the most painful place. So I was a bit "omg this will hurt but it'll be worth it". But I was doing my usual endorphin induced slip into sleep, until one part which hurt. A lot. But even that one part didn't hurt as much as my foot and thigh. XD

Actually, the only tat I have is a "prison" style tat of a heart done with needle and thread on my chest...it didn't hurt all that bad till it was almost done...

I don't have any prison style tattoos, but it doesn't sound overly pleasant.
The boyfriend said anything on the ribs is pretty bad, next to the heart, and over the sternum being the worst. Whenever I'm in the studio there's people wincing and yelping while getting tattoos on their ribs... And I was almost asleep. XD

It wouldn't have bothered me if it was painful. The end result would be worth it. You'll love the one being done on the 29th. Then a break for a few months, I think. XD

He certainly does... And he's still an apprentice, would you believe. He's done eight of my eleven tattoos, and will be doing the remaining ten.

Awesome! Did it start off as "Oh, I'll just get one or two, and that'll be all"? That's what happened with me. I only got my first tattoo in January last year... And yeah... Now I have 11... And 10 more either designed, or in the process of being designed.
It is annoying that tattoos can be so pricey. But shop around, compare prices. Also ask it there's any apprentices, because they tend to be about half the price. Get them to do your simpler designs. Any touch up work that may nd to be done is usually not charged if you go back to the same studio.

Oh no, I've wanted tons of tattoo's all my life. The designs tend to change, but a handful have been in my mind for years. Come hell or high water, I'll get them too.
