Well, couldn't the hall of a elven king be a cathedral in the forest?
As to looking in our out, that also brings up the question of what would be concidered inside or outside of a elven king's forest cathedral? I mean, if I was an elven king then I'd love the outdoors, therefore the inside of my halls would be fairly similar to the outside...

Well of course I did draw it with the idea that the inside was as much a part of the forest as the outside. Definitely.
I think that's why I like it so much, actually - the feeling that this cathedral in the woods IS the woods, at once in tham and containing them. Almost a feeling like in C.S. Lewis' The Last Battle (I think that's the one) - oh, and I think there was that kind of idea in The Magician's Nephew as well - where the interior is far greater than it looks from the outside.

Of course you may color it - I would be honored! I will probably color it myself in the near future. I'd love to see your take on it, however...
Glad you like the trees. This is one of the few sketches I did a looong time ago but still like. I can't find a single thing to hate about it, and that's saying a lot.
Yay for spring break! I'm GOING TO MOROCCO!!!! BWA!!! I's so happy...
