Description "Is that a dagger, or a crucifix I see
You hold so tightly in your hand"

Blood of Eden - Peter Gabriel

Halloween creeps closer!

This is what it would have looked like if Disney!Frollo went the way Book!Frollo did by stabbing Phoebus. Only this Frollo knows how to stab.....

Watercolours rule!

Uh, so does Frollo. Before he stabs me too. * Lascivious grin*

Dayum! There is no denying that Disney!Frollo would be so much more badass if more aspects of Book!Frollo were thrown in.

Just maybe don't faint when he's stabbing your boyfriend. Or do, if you're a Frollophile.

Nice design and colouring.
He looks fierce!
and on the dagger, I can see the reflection of that gypsy girl...

Thank you! Watercolours and inks are my favorite medium. And good that you spotted the reflection, sharp eyes!

Very, very intense. Somewhat disturbing, but in an effective way. I love how his expression is judgmental but also self-hating.

I love to explore his dark motivations. Now that Halloween is creeping closer, and the sun will start hiding more, kind, romantic Frollo fades away and dark, twisted Frollo awakens! (Isn't that the Frollo we all love best? ) Thank you for your comment!

Yes, I think his inner darkness and his motivations are why so many people are drawn to him. Aha, yes, that is the Frollo we all love best! And it was rather a pleasure commenting on this (odd sentiment, but it's how I felt).

Cool! So that means will be having a blondish/youngish/fopish/Phoebus corpse as a Halloween treat? Yay, kudos to Frollo who knows how to stab...in every way!

Ofcourse, this crazy little chick (you!) sees the double entendre in my words. *high fives*

Gah, he's such a wonderful muse!

Haha, that's me and my very dirty and twisted little mind...no wonder I fancy Frollo and other crazy guys.
But it's all Victor Hugo's fault, it's him who put a knife in Frollo's hands...and well, we girls can deduce that he's a master stabber

Thats so damn awesome! <3
First I way like - "Nice blood on this knife!" Then I saw that the blood has this outlines! ThatΒ΄s even better!
I really loved that part in the books! Stupid Phoebus! He makes me so angry xD Love to see Disney-Frollo that way

Ooh, this is so wicked and fierce! I love the red-eyed mist in his eye.

And his hands. God, you draw hands that I want to slide over my body. If I wasn't committed to this pinch hit thang, I would be writing about those hands. You are the hand artist extraodinaire. I don't suppose a Severus/Hermione hands pic is out of the question, is it???? I know I'm being soooo greedy, but your art makes me voracious for more!!!

Oh, I have been so busy the past few days love. When I wanted to sit down and draw you a little potion's master's hand art, my Muse just got up and flew out of the window, with gleeful laughter. It's been gone since. It's probably fed up with staying at home so much. Honestly, I think the muse is just as big of a "draaikont" as I am!

Lovelovelove! Even if I feel sorry for Pheebs; Disney Pheebs, that is! I like to think the victim of this knifing was some random soldier guy instead. I love the way the red "blood splatters" continue beyond the edges.

I sometimes forget you really like Disney Pheebs. More power to you, really. But the version of Pheebs that lives in my mind is as mentally crippled as the one in the book. He just hides it better beneath his air of bonhomie. (I am of course writing him as a bit of a git too, in Breaking Horses. That helps too.)

Did you notice the shape of the blood on the dagger?

bluemoonriver In reply to Howlingmojo [2011-10-03 14:02:47 +0000 UTC]

I'm not a huge fan, I just don't hate him like a lot of HoND fans. He's cute and well-meaning, but his constant one-liners still grate on me at times.

Book Pheebs, on the other hand, oh my word. Esmeralda, you idiot!

*gasp* The dagger . . . ohmigosh, you are a genius. Only one question: does he wipe off the dagger before, or after kissing Esmeralda in this scene? *eyebrow wiggle*

Poor Frollo.

You know what....I think witches in the Hunchback of Notre Dame would not have been out of place for the time period or the amount of stero-typing Disney did with the whole thing. Would have made an interesting twist, but there's only so much deviating from the original you can do.

Thanks for sharing!
