The lyrics are from the song "Kizuna", by KAT-TUN's Kazuya Kamenashi (<3). I'd get the full thing but I think I'll post it when I do another picture I'm planning with the same song. I wasn't sure if I really wanted to put the lyrics up for this pic, even though the feeling of the song was in here when I drew it, but...Just experimenting with my new art markers so I can actually do something decent for my art portfolio. I actually wonder if I can use him in it - the portfolio requirements said to put in stuff that you were interested in ....(heh heh), but my art teacher would KILL me and then drag me from Hell again to repeat the process if he EVER got whiff of anime coming from his class.
Ahhahahha, everytime I tell myself I'm going to do TKB justice b/c I haven't drawn him in forever .... I mess up. T_T Anyways, hope you like. I think TKB's realizing his family's never coming back...

Usually marker work seems to be done in so light and 'meh'. . .but I'm LOVING the thickness of your lines and the heaviness of your colors here. Is this a coloring style you plan on doing more in?
My only beef with this lovely piece is that he looks a touch feminine to me for some reason. . .

I was actually just experimenting, so I'm not even sure if this style will be consistent. It's the first time I've ever tried anything w/ markers, and they're not even copic. T_T So I guess we'll see. Any advice for a novice?
I'm glad you like it! I think he's effiminate maybe b/c the person I was using as a reference is possibly one of the girlest males in Japan if he turns his head just a certain angle...^+^'' Sorry about that. ^_^;
