that's a scary thought. if kunzite died, nephrite would be first in command, then zoisite woudl probably suddenly age and mature and be all emo!zoisite like he is in the pgsm version. Either that, or he'll crack within the first week and commit a dramatic, narcisstice death ala romeo and juliet to join kunzite on the other side. T--T but having neph as first in command just scares the crap out of me, i can't imagine anyone being beryl's second in command other htan kunzite.

That's great that you noticed him immediately....I love trying to draw realistic people into anime, so it was great to hear that you could recognize him. His eyes were the hardest to do becaues he always seems so solem n and sad all the time. T_T How are you liking the drama so far???

Oh yes, Zoisite is totally opposite to the one of the Anime. It's quite ironic, because in the Drama it's Zoisite who is supporting Endymion and in the Anime he was the first to kill him.
Anyway, so far I like the drama. They are exaggarate some stuff sometimes, but I am used to this by now with Japanese Dramas. I laugh over this mostly. XD And the fighting scenes remind me of that American series I watched when I was small, Power Rangers.
However, what I find interesting is, that even though the first episodes even reminded me of the beginning of the manga/anime, the story is a lot different sometimes. Especially with Venus, who seems to be seriously ill and doesn't want to reveal herself and stay with the other senshi. I also think it's interesting that so far Mamoru has not been kidnapped and brainwashed but Ami has. Then there is Zoisite, who I like very much so far (especially when he plays Moonlight Sonata, because that's my favorite piano song XD ). In the Anime I have to admit that I dislike him greatly, because he hurt and killed Mamoru, who I like a lot (even though sadly after the first season he lost a lot of his grace just like Minako did *sighs*). Yet, I supported the relationship between him and Kunzite. XD When I started watching Sailor Moon, I was very young and I didn't know so much about Anime and Shonen Ai. Later I found out that Kunzite and Zoisite were supposed to be two men and in love with each other. The 'in love' they made obvious in the German translation but Zoisite was dubbed into a WOMAN. I was SO angry when I found out the truth, and back then I was not even shonen ai fan.
Now the last thing I would like to mention that I liked. In the Drama, Usagi obviously liked Tuxedo Mask, but she definitely fell in love with Mamoru first, choosen him over Tuxedo Mask and all before she found out his true identity. I liked that fact most so far, because it proved well that she overcame her dislike for Mamoru on her own and realized that he is in fact a decent person and very likable. In the Anime, even though I like the romance between the two, (and I also think there were really small hints that just before Mamoru was 'killed' Usagi slowly seemed to change her mind about Mamoru, but did not get to know him for real because then he was taken away) it always feels a bit like Usagi just fell for Mamoru because she realized he is Tuxedo Mask and because he was Endymion once in the past. That's why absolutely liked the idea they had in the drama for the relationship between the two.
And I think the Drama is exciting, because it's only partly going after the manga/anime. Even if you know Sailor Moon, you don't know what might happen next in the drama. The last episode I've watched so far was the one where Mamoru in the end met that rival of Minako who definitely is part of the Dark Kingdoom and I suspect she is either Queen Beryl in disguise or at last someone sent by her.

Oh one more thing. What I have to admit, what I don't understand is the fact that the youma and even the Shintennou seem to always recognize the Senshi, even if they are not transformed. I think especially in the drama that should not be possible. In the Anime/Manga, I could understand, because Usagi and her friends only changed clothes during their transformations, not haircolour. But they do in the Drama, so it shouldn't be so obvious who they are. But oh well, I guess that's drama logic for you. XD

You've covered so much that I really dont' know what to say! LOL.

I was laughing at all the different changes they made for the live action. I cried over how Neflyte/ Nephrite was changed into this hot-tempered wuss of a boy. -sniffles- In the anime and in the manga (albeit his temporary crossdressing fling) he was such a ..sultry and in control character!~ He was second to KUNZITE! In the PGSM , i find it funny how I think Zoisite is second to KUnzite, and everyon'es like "ZOISITE! HELP ME WITH THIS" and he's like, "...excuse me, but i'm TRYING to play the PIANO?" And Nephrite was always bugging Zoisite - ...it seemed like theh roles had totally reversed!

I actually liked the Ami change, strangely enough. It was so cute to see her and Nephrite together, and Nephrite standing up against Kunzite. LOL. But the whole "I was alone thing" got so tiring after a while. -_-; Still doesn't beat the cuteness that is Nephrite/Naru though. MAN, if I had a guy like Nephrite come adn swoon me like that, we'd totally do it in the back seat of his car.

I have always kind of liked Endymion/Mamoru, and I really liked him in the PGSM version, but I did miss the original love/hate relationship and his "odangoatama". He doesn't even make fun of her that much. AND WTF WAS UP WITH HIS POINTLESS CHARACTER OF A GIRLFRIEND? I saw NO point in her being there, Usagi cuold've discoverd she loved him some other way, and his girlfriendn was soooo annoying after a while. When seh left, I watched the whole few episodes where she was in again, and I said to myself, "she could've not been there, and it would've made no differnce to the plot."

I don't knkow WHY i'm such a massive Zoi fan, but alhtough he hurt endymion, i think tha'ts the reason why I like im so much. He made the most frightening villain eventually second to queen beryl/metallia and kunzite. I mean, when you're watching the anime, seeing Zoisite conjur up that fire, you thinnk "OH GAWD, this is it. THis is it. If i don't defeat this guy, I'm DONE for." It was like as if you coudlnt' even imagine fighting Queen Beryl unless you got rid of this guy. He made the most impressive viallinI could find, and I loved his character development, because he's so multifaceted. He's....conniving, wickied, intelligent, narcissily arrogant, yet he's insecure, adoring, passioate, and dependant. I kept on wondering how ANYONE becomes such a frightening evil villain when they have a total side of them that's....just not villain material. I may be looking into this too much, but I was INTIMIDATED when I watched him summon the fire. I was like "...if this was a video game, I'd be wishing I drank that HP potion right now."

I've actually watched some german version of Sailor Moon. I acutally didn't midn the fact that they changed him into a girl -to be quite honest, German dubbing of Zoycite was by far the most accurate AND the nicest sounding. I have some issues of the American dubbing, but that's only because she has a very annoying scream/piercing laugh. However, the German version of Zoycite I liked because she kept to most of hte original's lines, AND she managed to pull of this more...serious and sweet girl kind of talk. <- THis made me feel more afraid then the aggessive, mocking, mean-girl feminism talk that the American version had. I coudl not PREDICT what that kind of girl was going to do, which made me like the German version very much. She seemed so quitely confident in her self, and ddint' seem to feel any emotional problems until the very end (unlike....Japanese Zoi, who seems to cry at most things).

FRENCH DUBBING OF ZOISITE WAS SO FUNNY HE WAS STILL A GUY BUT TO EXPLAIN HIS GAYNESS THEY MADE HIM KUNZITE'S BROTHER. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. It's funny becaue the french dubbing didn't even edit out some of teh scenes that DEFINITELY screamed "THEY'RE GAY TOGETHER!". Cause you know, brothers always give each other roses when teh other is upset. O_o dont' you do that to YOUR brother? LOL

THat Mini-Queen Beryl I also found just plain creepy. Her mouth stretches so much into a wide smile that it frightens me a litlte sometimes. And she's such a Mamoru-stalker! Her and Zoisite. -_-;;;;;

Oh yes, Nephrite. I have to admit I loved the romance between him and Naru in the Anime. I cried heavily when he died, so sad. And yes, the bugging of Zoisite and him always playing piano made me laugh as well. XD

*loooool* I have to admit, Nephrite is not exactly my type, but I have my own people I like and so I can understand you well. XD By the way, if I remember right from the artbooks it was implyed that Nephrite and Mercury were an item back when the moonkingdoom still existed, no? So then it somehow fit in the drama, did it not? ^^

Ah yes, that strange girlfriend was annoying. But I guess those dramas wouldn't be dramas, if there was not a love triangle somewhere in between. Ooooh yes, the teasing, I always liked that. Even though, be the end of the first season in the anime I felt really, really sad, that they all lost their memory. If not for that little fact, the first season would be my one and all love of the Anime. But like this I love the first season, but still also like the fifth a lot. ^^

I think what amused me the most about the Anime Zoisite was that he always ran to Kunzite and whinned about this and that. It was such an opposite action than his arrogant entrance in front of the senshi.
About the fire, you mean the scene where Usagi transformed into Sailor Moon in front of Mamoru? Oh I LOVED that whole scene. It was such a dramatic moment in my eyes. And the way Mamoru looked when he realized that Usagi is Sailor Moon. I also liked the ride in the elevator before. It was cute how the both of them still teased each other but suddenly there was a small note of tenderness in the air. Really beautiful scene.

Nyo, I still tend to prefer the original to anything else, thus I will never be really happy with the German voice. But well it's true, at last they kept the character far more original than in the other versions. I never really watched an US version of the Anime, but I heard quite a lot about it. The thing I hated most is the fact that they changed nearly everyones Name. It's SO stupid and ridiculus to do that, I will never understand. Sadly they sometimes do the name changing in Germany too. For example, they did so in Pokemon and Digimon. I think the only reason nothing like this happened with Sailor Moon is because when they started translating that serie, it was done by an other TV station. They showed the first season but no more. Only years later an other TV station decided to continue the series. The bad thing about that was, they had to change some of the voice actors, because the original were not avaiable. That was the most horrible thing in the world in my eyes, because I HATE Usagi's and Mamoru's new voice. They were so simulated, it was like a nightmare come true in my eyes. -_-

*snickers* Oh yes, the French dubbing was the most ridiculus in my eyes. Brothers... *snorts* as if...

Yes, poor Mamoru, ne? And Beryl is also one of this sad type 'if I can't have you, then nobody can'. -_-

*snickers* Now at last I am not the only one writing novels. XD Oh well, I have to go back to bed now. I am currently ill with fever, not a nice thing and certainly not how I imagined to celebrate the new year. Oh and sorry I've been so late with replying, I had been busy these past days. Actually in the artbook, i beileve that it was implied that actually it was Nephrite and Jupiter who were a couple, as were Mercury x Zoisite and Kunzite x venus and Jedite x Mars (that never changes, because that is just the most epically halarious pairing evar - Jedite does seem to like to hang around the dominatrix types anyway; beryl, metallia, etc).

Ah, okay that way. I can't remember right now and I am too lazy to check (have all artbooks here XD ) I only new for sure Venus and Kunzite and Mars and Jedite. I guess I can easily remember because Venus and Kunzite are both the last of their group to show up and... I don't know Mars was with the Sailor Scouts when Jedite failed for the last time. ^^

I know i said i wouldn't use this account much anymore, but I had to say something that I thought might be of interest to you (and I'm too lazy to sign into my new account) - but remember when I said that in the French , Zoisite lvoed Kunzited as a brother? Apparently in teh Russian version, he never said anything about loving Kunzite as ..."..." whatever, but until the very end of his death, where he said "Kunzite, I have loved you...as a father". I've been told that this has completely been disregarded to mean the literal "father" and probably just meant "with respect as I would respsect a father figure" but STILL I FOUDN THAT FUNNY.

Btw, therer is more zoisite x kunzite art and such like that on my new webstie, you hsould go there so we acn ramble adn write more novels about such an unactive fandom LOL
