This is basically how I do my colors. Feel free to ask any questions. Remember it's just how I approach cel shading presently, it's not really a tutorial or a suggestion on how to do things but it may help someone.Need help with the pen tool?

Just curious, do you still have a PSD file of this? I'm kind of curious as to what the final image would look like if you didn't add in that gradient layer.

I think this could be very helpful and having grey tones under you color work is great because it helps to get the right balance and form, nice job.

The end result actually has no gray or black and white. What makes it pop are all the colors.

Wow. Your style of coloring is so much more complex than mine.
I just use a flat color, a lighter and darker shade of said color, and the blur tool to blend it all in (while messing with the opacity option). Though I only learned that style recently and have yet to post a drawing with the style.

Nice walkthrough! Perhaps I should have done mine like this instead of posting a .PSD. Thanks for the shout out too, even though I just realized my tutorial doesn't really help people understand how to use the pen tool so much as it shows my inking technique with it. I should do something about that.
