Mongoose was an excitable kit with a need for adventure. Mama Nana could already tell he was going to be a handful after a couple of failed attempts at escape. Mama Nana had been able to catch Mongoose before he got too far in the previous attempts. But this time Mongoose was sure to wait until Mama Nana was occupied with other matters. They crept away from the group of kits, glancing back every few seconds. It was working, it was working! Then another kit caught on, “Mama Nana! Mongoose is trying to escape again!” Mongoose swiveled around to see who had spoken. Instead he saw Mama Nana frantically trying to find a good person to hand the kit she was holding to. “SNITCH!!” Mongoose shrieked before bolting down the hall. Mongoose got pretty far before he heard Mama Nana’s footsteps thundering through the hall. They were so close to finally being free. Mongoose would come back of course but she wanted to independently explore. As Mongoose breached the surface the setting afternoon sun temporarily blinded him. She almost stopped because of the unpleasant sensation but Mama Nana was closing in on her. The blaring light calmed quickly and Mongoose could see the massive forest just ahead. They glanced back to see Mama Nana trying to decide if she should chase after Mongoose or return to the wailing kit inside. “Please Mongoose, you don’t want to do this. It’s dangerous.” Mongoose shook his head, “I’ll be back Mama Nana.” Then he ran towards the forest.

Hello, I'm back with some brainrot. I didn't take too much time on this because I'm focusing more on part 2, but uh enjoy. (And don't you dare criticize my writing I know it's bad. I wrote it during school./hj)
