Day an KNIGHTI inked another artist pencils the "traditional way" and I didn't like it so I came up with "the "Choat Way"-use another artist pencil work-add my own pencil work-add items or take away items-my own inking and shading style that I'm working on..
Day an KNIGHT is based on the pencil work of artist Scott McDaniel..
Stay Tuned- My next piece I will use the "Choat Way" on is by the artist M.A.Asrar-I call it- "Feel the Heat"

He did a very good walk through color tutorial and put it on you tube..Day an KNIGHT is the art he used..check it out if you can

Well done! I like the piece very much.
I think my art looks better when inked very solidly, with bold lines and big shapes, and this fits the bill.

YES DUDE YES!!!! PURE AWESOMENESS!!!! TOTALLY KILLER. I can absolutely see Scott's art style here while still having your sense of tone all over it! DUDE...YES! Keep it up.
Scott is a friend on facebook and I'm gonna post this to his wall, he's really cool about all the pics I've done work on of his.
(one note= what I do, even if it's not on there and I know the artist, I put in a simple signature for them)

I am very glad you like it-I like to do a more or less comic style realism normally-but I have always wanted to try this cool cartoon style for a long time.hmm,if he likes this-with his permission- I will use nothing but his art when I use the "Choat Way" for this cartoon style-maybe you and I could do another collab using his art _do you mind asking?...you know a lot of art and who drew it based on their particular style and the actual piece of art-so,my goal is this-see the original artist work incorporated with a style that I am trying to refine with each piece I do my way-let me know if you see that and your thoughts on it when you get a chance-Thanks

Well the thing about style is that once you try to incorporate it into your style, it no longer becomes someone else style. As long as you don't straight copy mind you. But you can go to his FB page do a friend request and ask the man himself, you two actually have alot in common, fitness, comics, religion (I use that broadly as I am not very myself). But I would totally dig working up a piece with you and I will send notes as soon as I can!

Cool-I'm gonna try to get some rest-I have had insomnia for about a month-went to the doc and was prescribed a really strong med that doesn't work..I never sleep more than 3 hours at a time-the average is 2hrs....almost 6am-again lol! and I have not been asleep at all tonight until right now

Oh I feel you my friend had tough time with that afew years ago. I normally don't sleep more then 4-5hr on avg.
