Description
A starry night, that's what it was. It also happened to be their first night; in the Far-side that is. It seemed like an eternity before the first sight of the Far-side became less important than communicating with each other. The first one to snap out of the horizon's gaze was Junko remarkably. Having his caring nature, he suggested that everyone should get some rest before getting any ideas, despite how excited they were to find out what action or secrets the place had in store for them. Even through Aerrow was reluctant to agree with him, he did. Everyone would need their strength and concentration if something were to happen. Besides that, they did have a long day and it seemed as though they'd just won a war by the skin of the teeth. And, of course, everyone deserved a rest… and by that he meant Piper. Not because he was ignoring the rest of the team or anything like that, he knew they all needed their rest but Piper especially had had a rough 8 weeks.

Once he'd rounded everyone off to bed, made sure that the Condor was hidden from the naked eye, warned Finn about what he'd do to him if he dared go outside on his own (even if he did trick Junko into doing it with him) and given Radarr a small scratch behind the ear, he switched off the light. Despite his major tiredness and the satisfaction that they were safe, there was still something wrong. He'd just overlooked what had just happened. Like he thought it seemed that they'd just won a war by the skin of the teeth and now that he thought about it, what happened seemed a little… awkward if you take into consideration of what someone else thought about it. Knowing that he'd get to sleep easier if he'd just stop thinking about it, he got up to got some fresh air. As he got up, he tried not to wake up Radarr. Creeping towards the front of the Condor, he went past the others' rooms. The doors weren't open but he could hear Junko's snoring and Stork was on the bridge, curled up in a seat with his trance helmet on.

As he walked outside, his heart skipped a beat. Piper was already there, resting her chin in one hand that was resting on the Condor's balcony, gazing into the horizon once more. Aerrow realised that he'd have to confront a minor fear sooner than he'd expected. Approaching her from the side, he finally spoke.
"Piper?" he addressed, still a bit nervous. Piper turned around the meet his eyes. "I hope I'm not interrupting". She thought she was in trouble so she brought out an apology.
"Oh, Aerrow… I'm sorry, I know it's dangerous but I just needed some air and-" she stuttered
"It's alright, just as long as you don't go anywhere" he smiled at her.
"Oh… then no, not at all" she replied to his earlier comment. Silence followed for a few seconds as Aerrow went to stand by her, resting his arms on the balcony also.
"You really did it…," he said, hesitant at first- judging whether or not he should bring up the conversation.
"No," she paused. "We did," she said. After that, Aerrow had what seemed like a permanent smile on his face. It was like Piper to be graceful about something like that, she was a bit shy when it came to those types of things. Aerrow retreated his right arm from the balcony and let his hand rest on it. In doing so, he accidentally rested it slightly on top of Piper's. He retreated that too when he realised, a few milliseconds before Piper did.
"Ooh, sorry"
"No it's ok"
"Still, sorry, just a little tired"
"Don't worry, I'm fine"
"I shouldn't have… It slipped a bit"
"I'm fine Aerrow, it's ok"
That sort of quick conversation lasted about 5 seconds. The pair both met each other's eyes, looking into them for about half a second. Then they both looked away from each other for yet another second or two. To end the embarrassing silence, Piper spoke once again.
"Anyway… uh- Aerrow if it weren't for you today--"
"Don't worry about it, it's all in the past now"
"But Aerrow, I just wanted to say--"
"It's alright Piper, I know what you mean"
Taking into account what Aerrow had just said she listened to him and felt a little embarrassed again. Feeling a little tense, she eventually plucked up the courage to do what she'd intended to since Aerrow's last sentence. Leaning over, Piper gave Aerrow a quick peck on the cheek before deciding to leg-it.
"Goodnight Aerrow" she said before walking off quietly to her room. Aerrow opened him mouth to speak but he didn't let anything out. He could feel himself blushing, yet his eyes were still fixed on the horizon's one spot. It was shock really. 'I knew this was 'gonna be fun' a part of him told himself.
