(This is very (very) loosely based on Knives Out, so if you care about spoilers, I would recommend watching what is actually a very good film before reading on.)

Estate Owner's point of view:

I’d lived a good life, being an author was a tough profession to get into, but if you were able to rise to the top, then you could live a more than comfortable life. I’d done well for myself, but life did get lonely at times, and I’d decided I could do with some company. To that end, I’d hired a nurse, named Marta Cabrera, who helped with some medical assistance I needed, but also simply provided someone to talk to.

At first, I wasn’t sure if I’d made the right choice, if it was all just silly, but after getting to know the woman, I began to realise just how wonderful she was. She kindly listened to my ramblings, was clearly incredibly intelligent, far more than a mere sounding board, providing her own ideas too. At first, I dismissed her suggestions, but she took to bringing ideas to me after my night time medication, and for some reason, they seemed far more insightful. Maybe her mind worked better just before bed, or something.

Whatever the case, I began to take her ideas on board, making adjustments to my estate, taking her on for greater hours, until she basically lived with me. My family raised concerns, but as Marta said, they were all just out for my money, none of them actually cared about me. She told me I should cut them out of my will. I was opposed to the decision at first, but she helped me understand that I was helping them, allowing them to find their own path.

The only question was who could I pass the fruits of my life’s work onto instead. Marta’s solution was quite obvious. Soon she was the sole inheritor of all I owned, and I couldn’t be happier. When I told my family, they were naturally upset, but following Marta’s advice, I cut them out of my life entirely, so they could truly make something for themselves. Then I was finally able to be alone with the most important person in my life, this perfect woman, whose presence could always bring a smile to my face. Over time, she began asking more of me, and I began to feel that in many ways, I was the one looking after her, but still, I couldn’t be happier. There were occasional doubts, but one little dose of that wonder-drug of hers, and I remembered how lucky I was to have her. I remembered how lucky I was to have met Marta Cabrera, the kindest, most beautiful, most utterly divine individual to walk this Earth.

Detective's point of view
It was a strange case, and even stranger circumstances under which it had entered my possession. A letter containing nothing but some cash, and a news article about a rich author who had out of nowhere announced that all of her assets were to be passed on to her nurse, a young immigrant who had barely any money to her name. It was a peculiar occurrence, but there was no reason to suspect foul play if not for that letter. I found that I simply could not resist taking up the opportunity, so I headed down to the big old house, to see what I could find. The door opened at my knock, and to my surprise, I was greeted not by the caretaker, but instead by the estate owner, who seemed to be keeping herself rather busy. To contrast, the young caretaker instead appeared to be relaxing on a couch in the next room, which seemed quite the disregard of her duties. The estate owner wore quite a large grin on her face, and it seemed that she was at least in high spirits, but I began to wonder if perhaps there was something more to this peculiar situation.

I just saw Knives Out, and wow, Ana de Armas is just so incredibly pretty. I knew I had to write something starring her, so I hope the premise is at least somewhat enjoyable, I just finished writing and I’m still not sure. Basically, I tried to take the incredibly kind and intelligent character that Marta is in the film, and mix in some of the wild theories the family began to throw out as to why she was named the sole inheritor. I also removed the murder plot, because that is a bit too dark for me.

I initially wrote this without the detective paragraph, but later realised that may be more enjoyable, so feel free to choose to RP as either the estate owner or the detective. The estate owner can be younger than in the film, as I presume most people would prefer, and will have to be female if I am RPing as Marta, due to my preferences. Detective RPs would of course begin where the starter ends, and I imagine estate owner RPs would start from hiring Marta, and could take place over a longer or shorter time period based on an RPer’s preferences, with Marta drugging the estate owner to make them more suggestible, so she can gradually take control of both them and their estate.

I’m aware that in the image, Ana is a fair bit younger than her character, so feel free to have her aged up if preferred, I just really liked this picture. Here is another picture, where she is closer to her current age: sta.sh/06jbnm5y5pq Also, I feel this is the case with most of my deviations, but the title seems rather awkward, and suggestions are welcome. Lastly, I haven’t seen Glass Onion, so please do not spoil.
