I am fond of insect/insect looking wildlife so I am enjoying these creatures greatly.
I'm curious though what sort of weaponry are these fellas armed with. Usually a predator needs some fairly formidable weapons to deal with prey which is armored, such as insects. Either that or venom and a way to get it inside the armor.

I am reminded of prehistoric armored fishes, they had a heavily armored head and upper body, but a soft rear section a lot like your creatures.

the Placodermi were indeed a important inspiration for the basic design of the pseudo-athropods.

Your animals are a bit more realistic than a lot of critters out there. Glad to see it honestly.

Seems prehensile. It must be quite powerful despite its thinness, the animal's body itself looks pretty much on the large side

Well that's quite horrifying. As an extension of one of the questions above- if a human was attacked by one of these, and somehow didn't die immediately, could you convince it to leave you alone by attacking the breathing apperatus?

Well good to know if I ever end up out there.

Oh I really like this one, it's awesome to see some blues in your drawings. This guy is really neat looking, and those markings on the side of the carapace look very natural.

Do they breathe through the three holes in their body?

You don't see it from this perspective, but the jaws are very sharp, sawed and have much power. The animal jump on the bakc of it's prey and dig into the flesh.

If this species gives birth... do the others have live birth, eggs, or that weird combination some reptiles and sharks have?

I like these creature designs/ideas a lot.
May I suggest a segmented beast like this, [link] .

Your description of its nest reminds me of an eagle nest, which I suppose is appropriate. One risk of a low-g planet must be that there could be a predator in any direction!

great designs. this creature if I could meet a man, I could kill? I'm just saying, out of curiosity, not if your planet has been visited by humans.

I bet you could whoop it, due to it being used to much weaker gravity.
