Description In the northern most part of the Neanean alps the climate is not quite as hot as it is near the equator. Some villages here are build in the openΒ
around little oasis which can be found in valleys.
The simple, thick walled buildings protect the inhabitants from the sun and the heat in a way that even up to date technology rarely meets... and of course it's much cheaper. Nea is at this point still depending on tech support from Earth and the infrastructure is far from ideal. The harsh conditions however have provoked the colonists to use far older but robust technology, often influenced by the cultures they once belonged to on Earth. This little city is for example mostly inhabited by people from Africa, mostly Mali, who remembered the architectural heritage of their ancestors and formed here, under a new sun, their own interpretation.Β

So one has to wonder what kind of materials they are using for construction.

Clay, mud, rocks, wood and plastic tubes.

Since the technological resources areΒ insufficiently available many inhabitants of Nea went back to much older but effective solutions to survive under these harsh conditions.
On the other hand these buildings are kind of a illusion. The interior pretty modern.
