Description There are things out there, in the ground, that we would have never imagined when not somebody dug it up. Stratodus is one
of these creatures. This weird, slender, giant grew up to 5 m in length, was covered in an armor, not much different from that of sturgeons, and had jaws filled with hundreds of needle like teeth, growing in all directions.
The Alepisauriforme lived during the Masstrichtian in marine in brackisch waters and probably hunted small fish. It was so far found in Africa and North America.

This is a quick sketch done for #SundayFishSketch on Twitter

Here a (French) paper which gives you little idea how the fossils look like: hal.archives-ouvertes.fr/file/…

I've had anti-evolutionists tell me things like these were placed in the rock as decoys to make us believe the false narrative of evolution. To those people I frequently point out they are giving the Devil a far greater testimonial to his imagination than they give God.

Evolution: Hmm...Okay, now I have this fish...What else can I do to make it cooler? It;s already big and armoured to it's teeth...Oh, I know! It will have teeth growing in all directions!

It's like a snake mackerel the size of a tiger shark. I love it.

Reminds me a bit of a fish my uncle used to have - I forget what it was called, but it had that same sort of face!
