This is for my wonderful friend ! She asked me to draw something with bamboo because I never had before, and so while I was coming up with ideas I could not shake the idea of using pandas! (We're conviced she loves them...whether or not she actually does...we don't know! XD It's a bit of an inside joke now!)There's actually kind of a story here...so Giant Pandas usually have twins but one of the two generally die because the mother pays more attention to one than another...so this faerie is kind of a foster mother to the other panda cub! ^^
On ~WendyChan 's suggestion, the faerie is Chinese...or supposed to be! Any comments or suggestions about her or the rest of the drawing are as always greatly appreciated!!

Ahh, Kerhanna... It's been so long since I've commented, did you miss me? I bet you did.... I bet you did. Anywho, here we go. I really like this, as always. I love how you've contrasted the bright green colors of the bamboo with the monochromatic scale of the pandas. And as I've said before, I think you're really doing well with depths of things, like the bamboo forest. The anatomy on the faerie is also really nice too and she looks Asian! Why I couldn't draw an Asian looking person since... Well, like two months ago. Now, as my figure drawing teacher says you've gotten the sweet, now it's time for the bitter. And we know how bitter I can be! First off the wings are really nice and they have a lucidity to them, but I didn't notice them until I looked for the second time. Now maybe that's just because I'm tired, or it's because there's not a strong enough outline on them and they blend into the background. Now I know you're going to say "But Booch! I want them to be as thin as possible so they look transparent and faerie like!" And I don't want to hear it! Haha. But sometimes you have to make sacrifices so the rest of the class can understand it. Also, I think the pandas could use a little work, both in the anatomy department and with fur texture. Texture, even in the most subtle of forms can make or break your picture, and you've done such a wonderful job with the grain of the bamboo that it's not consistent. All those things aside this is absolutely lovely! I envy your ability to create finished pieces time and time again.
Oh, and P.S. You're due for some sweet birthday art whenever I'm not lazy/not working on art. So never. HAHAHA! But seriously, I haven't forgotten about you... No matter how hard I try.
