Description Hey everyone! I know I've been away for a long time again! I've been very busy this year! But while I should have been studying the other day I was so inspired to draw a mermaid! So that's what happened! XD

I would love and appreciate any comments or critiques! And I promise to catch up on everyone's comments and deviations as soon as I can!

This is very charming! I love the colors and the happy feel of it.
I do have a few critiques if you don't mind hearing them ....
The mermaid's left upper arm seems too long for her proportions, but the forearm seems right on. I think the dolphins' anatomy is not quite there, their bodies are usually a bit shorter and more compact looking.
Otherwise...her face is adorable, you draw hands beautifully and I really love all the details you put into this.

Since you ask for advanced critique...I think you should blend the colours of the background better, like you have done it at the top of the picture.
Now the water rather has ice texture.. (poor frozen mermaid )

This picture doesn't make me ashamed that I know you! And that's saying something. I like the more stylized look you have going, it works well with the colored pencils. I love the attention to the tail you've done, with all the different colored scales and I LOVE the reflective quality they have. The anatomy's really good too. The one thing I would say, well two actually, is work on your dolphins and area with the abs and the shoulder blades where you just have lines, I'd try to integrate those more into subtle tones. But otherwise great work lamezorz.

is THIS what you've been doing all night, holed up because of the snow? XDD it's beautiful! I love her scales and all the detail you've put into her hair, face, and the sea creatures--you're getting so much better at facial expressions and hands. the only critique I would have is watch how that light falls underwater--it looks a little chunky, but that's just a nitpicky thing.

did your scanner rape this one, too? xD

YAY!! Thank yooouuu! haha! Well I was improving it last night...but I was working on for realz (LOL! lamesauce) when I was supposed to be reading bio! XD I definitely agree about the water...it was a bit of a beast but I didn't know how to fix it up! XD

oo i really like how you did the face, nice angle too. her torso though, i feel like her sides are too stright, after all real women have curves ( lol retarded joke) oh wait no after looking at is i feel like her sides 'dip' too low for how wide you made her hips ( which really aren't that wide XD ) her shoulders seem a bit boxy aswell. Amazing clouring as usual and when i see it IRL on friday i'm sure i will see your scanner hath fucked it in the butt XD
