Model: LaurenJewelry: Kazuri Beads, Kikuyu, Kenya
The women who work at Kazuri Beads make the jewelry by hand out of clay. They shape, paint, polish, and string all of the beautiful artwork. Most of the women are single mothers, and the proceeds of the company go to make their lives and the lives of their children better.
This photo had been sitting in my head for a while now, so I'm glad to finally see it carried out.

For what it's worth I think the asymmetry makes it seem more natural (along with the little imperfections and whatnot) it makes the image much more charming!

i agree, although i didn't realize the non-symmetry until now. but you know, sometimes small imperfections are nice. the fact that her left shoulder was lower than the right one did make it difficult to balance the tomato on her collar bone, though. the poor tomato was so beaten up by the end of the shoot
