Description This piece is showing the evolutionary pathway for the Fulcibrachs, a group of herbivores more specifically evolved for browsing from "trees" and the like. The disparity between the "final" species is enormous, with the clade containing not only large, sauropod-like species, but even the specialized flying tetrapod. Most, if not all, have evolved their throat-gullets into display organs, ranging from wattles, to the inflatable, and to the permanently distended. The lower branch have developed an interesting solution to the problem of an ever-upward growing maxillary carapace by actually splitting them apart, resulting in eerily antler-like growths on both sides of their heads (if you ignore the mouthparts that run their lengths). They constantly grow back in towards the grinding mandibles, kind of like the teeth of a rodent, keeping a good edge to chew on.

If you have any questions on these beasts, I will try to answer them. Some things I'm still asking myself. 480 to go. (Try to find the original fulcibrach on the basepage A.K.A. Rise of the Tripeds.)

Thank you so much. This really means alot coming from you. I love your stuff and hope hope to someday be in the "ranks" of the Exobiology community.

the linework in your sketches is sooo good, man, i'm definitely looking foreward to whatever comes out of them, but they are really enjoyable just by themselves

haha, so do i

This is great! A cladogram is a great way to start a xenobiological project, unless of course, this came afterwards, then it's a fun and exciting challenge. One thing I like about this is that it's an actual, complete cladogram. Although you haven't labeled taxa here, most of the phylogenetic trees I've seen elsewhere have a lot of polychotomies and paraphyly.

I'm not making any creature from scratch. Everything is being evolved. I'm really impressed by the thoroughness of your work by the way.

Thank you! You probably have way more species than I do already, though; I only have somewhere around 200 currently, probably less, and I'm just now starting to put them into place.

Yeah but you have the terrestrial vertebrates ALONG with everything else already figured out. I've only been working on the tripeds.
