Description As a member of the LGBT community myself, you'd think I would be happy for the Supreme Court ruling about gay marriage being legal in all 50 states...but I'm honestly not; partially because I've never considered marriage to be of an true significance in first place, but mainly because I recognize a ploy when I see one.

For starters, marriage is one of the biggest fuckin' farces in the history of this damned planet. Marriage has nothing to do with love...if it did more half the marriages in this country wouldn't end in divorce. Marriage has always been a social/political/religion institution created to control the population by enforcing the psychological acceptance of social classes and breeding. Down throughout history spanning various cultures there have always been elitist social rules dictating who you could or could not marry. Once upon a time marrying outside of your social class, religion, and even your ethnic background was unheard of and would be grounds for exile, oppression, and even death. Marriage has always been a manipulative tool abused by governments and religious leaders, and today is little different, for now the government uses marriage as grounds to tax people; which is the only fuckin' reason why the government has suddenly become such a major advocate of so-called "marriage equality".

Now that gays can legally get married they can now also legally be taxed and feed the perpetual debt machine that is the American economy. This is not a progressive milestone! This is a ploy for subjugation! A far better solution to the marriage dispute would have been to abolish the Marriage Tax altogether and get the fuckin' government out of your bedroom entirely! The damn government shouldn't be dictating who you can or cannot marry in the first damn place! Marriage is a lot of Pompe and Circumstance and much ado about nothing anyway. I've never understood it! If you want to be with someone, JUST BE WITH THAT PERSON! There shouldn't be any legal bullshit involved! Straight people should be able to marry who they want, gay people should be able to marry who they want; even Polyamorous people should be allowed to be together without the government and any damn body else getting in their faces! Love who you want! Marry who you want...as long as they are consenting adults! Why Is That Such A Difficult Concept?!!

And of course I highly doubt most people have considered the terrible ramifications this could have for the future; as the Supreme Court has effectively gutted the 10th Amendment which dictates that State rights cannot be undermined by the Federal Government. The Judicial Branch of the government is only supposed to interpret the laws, it does not have the power to dictate the laws let alone suppress the rulings of the individual state governments. By this act, the Supreme Court has granted overwhelming power to the central government which could prove disastrous in the long run. People seem to forget why these checks and balances were originally put in place. People might be cheering now, but the Supreme Court has not always ruled in favor of such seemingly altruistic legislation. Let us not forget that back during World War II the Supreme Court ruled that the immoral detainment of all Japanese-American citizens was constitutional when it clearly was not (a ruling which has yet to be officially amended in a court of law). This is not a step toward progressive change, this is a devious ploy disguised as altruism. Political correctness has weakened the minds of the populace and in the midst of an overzealous stupor the people of this country have sold their pride and independence for a quick and easy route to a half-baked illusion of liberty. Simply put, They're Playing You All Like The String Section Of An Orchestra!

You see folks, THIS guy gets it. Not sure why everyone else doesn't.
Honestly, there's a difference between rights & coveting; Marriage can prosper, whereas a same-sex marriage cannot. As for child-less couples, research studies showed that they can have as much significance in prosperity than family couples.
That, and politics think they can stuff their PC-SJW bullshit down our throats & expect us to like it. Also, when it comes to criticizing people's opinion on marriage based on either Religion or social beliefs is pretty much intolerance & ignoring when others stand for in the first place.

Kudos on the post, my man.

You are so FUCKING blind. You bitch about this "gutting the 10th amendment" when you bat NO FUCKING EYE on Congress saying this violates the 14th amendment.

I suppose the short form of your post is, "the real winner of the gay marriage decision is Big Government."

I think you just need to stop hating everything that the government does, because it's not all a ploy to make gays pay taxes, it's not a ploy for subjugation, it's simply just a ploy to give human rights. It doesn't matter if in the past marriage was a social/political/religious institution, this is the 21st century, we're not int the 1600's. If it were, you would be executed being a member of the LGBT community as you say.

I also think marriage is a joke and a waste of time, but the right to marry means a lot to the people who wanted it so i'm happy for them. Even though i don't give a damn about marriage, i see this as being less about marriage itself and more about gay people having the same rights as straight people. So it's more of a symbolic milestone.

Yes, and while I am happy for the whole gay rights movement I nevertheless retain bittersweet feelings regarding this "victory". This is a win for gay rights, but at what price and what ramifications is this to have in the future? That's what's heavy on my mind. The Supreme Court effectively just gave "marriage equality" to this country on a silver platter, but any wise man knows you never trust a silver platter.

More like a distraction from the TPP. There are actually tax advantages to marriage, and Austrian Economic hacks and Chicago Schoolers like to spin the narrative but Singles are taxed if you hadn't noticed, it's not like gay people weren't already being taxed. And really, the USA is late to the party and patriots should be ashamed that it took this long to catch up with more civilized countries on marriage equality, homosexuals were being systematically legally persecuted and discriminated against in the United States and while people celebrate this there never should have been persecution to begin with and it certainly shouldn't have continued for as long as it did.

Oh and people in free countries decide their own reasons for getting married, you don't get to tell them what it's about. It could be about love and emotional security,  to secure a stable arrangement for child rearing,  it could be purely a business like transaction and honestly I don't think the government has any business investigating to find out. People get married for all sorts of reasons and marriage has existed in all sorts of cultures including horizontal tribal cultures where there are no elites, it's not just some conspiracy crafted by some elite to control society. Stop watching Alex Jones.
