Continuing on with my Classic x-men. I really love Jean Grey ... but I will admite she was super annoying on the 90s show... nobody else passed out everytime they used their powers. She was kinda of a wimp. Much more bad-ass in the comics. I redesigned her 90s Jim Lee costume just a little bit. I figure she is not the most physical fighter so she would need to wear more protective gear such as armor. I also really really like to draw big red curly hair. That was fun.Related content

Love this and ur right, 90s series didnt do her powers justice, though check her out in marvelheroes and she is bad ass in comics

hah the hair was my main motivation for doing this peace. I wanted to really just go crazy with lots of curls. It was fun. Glad that you like it.

Nice costume. Interesting redesign. I liked this costume for her, but it was the first costume I ever saw of hers, so it just seems closest to what I think she should have. I do agree that the fact that her powers were always straining was a little odd, especially when you consider that they weren't that powerful until she became the Phoenix. Storm, Cyclops, Gambit and even Jubilee seemed to output more power and energy, yet none of them got strained by it. If she was the strongest, had the most energy output, then it would make more sense.
