WAIT GUYS HOW DO YOU ADD THAT NICE CUSTOM THUMBNAIL PIC??Whew finally finished.
Well this is the tutorial that I said I'll do all the way back in January. It covers basically how I color the face and hair.
Well I put a lot of work and thought into this, and hopefully those who asked will find it useful. If you are a beginner, you might want to read this as well:[link]

.For those of you read it, I'm curious as to what you think so please leave a comment if its not too much trouble.
I feel that I haven't explained some of the steps very clearly so if you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them here.

Cool! Of caurse I knew about all these tones on skin, but usually I use it in coloring on paper or even more on canvas, but on PS I'm still new one, so this one will help me a lot! Thank you! ^_^

I discovered the liquefy tool some time ago and I love it. Most recently, I use it in conjunction with other tools to fix all the mistakes I make in a sketch. Then I print out a light blue copy of the pic and redraw whatever parts of it didn't come out that great in the photoshop editing. I've gone through up to 4 printings/editings before having a version I was happy with and ready to ink before. I like this technique better than erasing/redrawing 'cuz I tend to just retrace the erased lines no matter how many times I try.

heh *snort* I know you get like tons of messages and probably don't get to respond as much or is very busy but I just had to say excellent tutorial (god I love your work! So beautiful) even though this been up for about a good five years now
but the links for the light sources is not there anymore and i think when i practice cging I think that's where i screw up the paint job imho...it just doesn't come out the way i want it too..I feel i'm doing something wrong and not getting exactly what i want because of this.
oh well i guess continued practice makes perfect...or at least to the point I'm finally satisfied with what i do....which is never. lol

this was very helpful I donβt do much computer art because of my computer getting reformatted and all

Eh, on step 6 I think your Neji picture has sort of erased the text, so I have no idea what it's saying and it doesn't make sense. What's this about painter IMO? Is it a program, or what? If it is, I can get it, if not..... :/ I can't really get another tablet.

Could you make a more in-depth tutorial about blending in photoshop? I'm using the smudge tool but it doesn't give me the results I want..Your method looks really good, but some more explination would be nice if possible?
