Description
An experiment with charcoal and a bit of pastel. Three colors used in all for the wolf, then blue added in photoshop because I'll be damned if my scanner picks up the blue I added with pastel
It's a little messy, but I like it. I screwed up on the fur at some parts, I'm not sure if I'll fix them or not.EDIT: I got a new scanner so I scanned it again so now it's closer to the real life colors. I also go rid of that weird lump thing by the mouth. Yay.

Anyway, I love this.. the composition is dynamic, the detail in the fur is incredible and the colors work very well together... too bad I missed the greeness, but congratulations on a new scanner anyway.

getting details in pastels is realllly the worst part 
i hav not been uploading a pleeenttyyy of my work, just got a photoshoot of my portfolio and will show u its really a big fight to get details in there, i mean after doign just one part of anything ure so tired u want to scribble all about.........i hope u don't use a smudger, u shuld make small cones of brown paper and use em accordingly to get details.....
for my eraser/charcoal thingie, i use only an eraser for details.......

Brown paper cones? I never heard of that method. Where to get brown paper.. hm, would brown paper bags work for that?

Frankly, I like your skill with pastels more than me, because I like press so hard and like over use so much pastel my paper becomes like water proof or something. Lighter strokes like your give better texture and nicew "fur." And I think his mouth needs to make a more "O" shape like he's going "ooooooooooooh" because I think his mouth is too wide open or something...

Hmm.. Well I tend to press down hard too, maybe not as hard as you do but still. Maybe I should go lighter and slowly work it in.
And hm, that's what his mouth was like in the picture. Maybe he's actually opening his mouth for a big chunk of meat or something

Hmm *looks at box* And Epson Perfection 1250. Not the best thing in the market but damn better than what I previously had. It came with a hellofalot useless software though.
