Description This is rather cool.
Pete asked my to draw a head made of animal faces so I did a photomanipulation as reference and using the idea of roschach ink blot (where everyone who looks sees something different) I created an image where what you see depends on the viewer.

And I think it work because my roommate saw animals I didn't try to draw.
So if you have a moment take a look then tell me what's the first thing you see? what animals do you see in the face.

Great - Great, the idea and the execution of it. You have me looking and there so many in the picture but (and people would be looking no matter) that you said it was a Roshach gives it that extra effort.

Off-hand: The frog eyed (can't see it as frog) but someone whipering in the ear of the frog, Wolf, birds head, bird, owl parrot guppy (?) only because the mouth and lack of nose, left - jester fox, jesters hat or scorpion tail.

A ton more but that is true of art in general, people see different elements either by design or imagination.

At the same time: you would have drawn in some some non-intentional, thats natural unless it was a cut and dry technical drawing.

Very well thought out drawing..I just went back to it (different mood) and now I see a profile of a face.

Great image when you can look at it in a different mood and find a new element, then it becomes a big adventure.

Some drawings have temporary appeal, after they "wow" (A word I don't like to use in critique) you with the color it becomes a static image. This one is a composition that has to looked at numerous times, and even then everyone will see something different.

I hope you make a different one in same aspect of composition at some point.!

Thanks again for another great comment, glad you like it so much.

A different one? Perhaps any suggestions? Like instead of a face made of animal heads a what made of what?

You're the artist, it worked once - it will work again.

You might want to look at the real Rorschach inkblots [link] fficial&client=firefox-a&um=1&sa=N&tab=wi might give you an idea.

Sorry about the emoticon in the link, that just happens with the right combination on the address.

i thought you'd shade it like the picture but this is nice flat, you used inks? or is that marker?

Inks
Pete, who commissioned the picture just wanted black and white, no greys.
