Description
A birthday present for my mother that will soon be hanging in her bedroom! She wanted a Mucha inspired image, specifically with dragonflies and water.I've never put this much work into a picture before, and I'm very pleased with the outcome. I learned a lot of things and did a full background for the first time. The full size is 7700x10267!
It also features my newly designed signature

Her eyes are so alive
the hair have flow and her fingers holding the skirt are amazing
The skirt's part flowing on the water is drawn very beautifully
Only one thing although the dragonflies are beautiful the two on the water are not standing out so much so may be you can make their wings whiter or brighter like the one near the rock just so they will stand out

The dragonflies 'on the water' are actually reflections - notice they are identical to the dragonflies in the air. They are not meant to be very visible, but thank you anyway

I love the colour palette and texture, it's soft but passionate. The foreground stands out a little starkly from the back, but I think it works for the purpose.

i love the mucha feel this has. and the dragonflies are so cute and fitting. i'm not a fan of pink, but it really works for this piece.

Hehe, I did a huge overhaul of the folds... repainted the bust and skirt completely, the only part I didn't change is the 'train'. Have a look at the old one and compare

I took photos of my sister in a huge sheet of material as reference and I'm much happier with it now. Reference makes a mountain of difference
