Description Inquisitor Yasmin is one of the most feared members of the Inquisition forces that rule the Colonies of the Line. Dedicated to rooting out evil alien influences from beyond the Terminus Line, she has mastered one skill that most inquisitors seem to fail to comprehend: compassion. Through little acts of kindness and mercy where it costs her little to do so, she has built an information network that makes her extremely effective at selecting her targets correctly. It is a tactic that the other inquisitors are loathe to follow. The only question is whether the compassion is her true character or just a cold bit of calculation on her part.
Yasmin's own metaphysical knowledge and psychic abilities are impressive, and she is a skilled combatant both with pistols and swords as well. But she rarely gets involved physically in combat. Her platoon of hand-picked Templars are usually enough to handle any physical threat.

Excerpt from the Journal of Zan Holindai, Nix Lord Magus:

"... Speaking of the Psychoborgs, their psychic Soothers and Those That Hold The Line... Our encounter with one of their Grand Inquisitors, Yasmin, should not go without mention. If not for my own esoteric abilities and knowledge, I would have thought I had encountered an arisitocratic child of some sorts when we laid eyes upon each other. For her diminutive size and shape belie one of the Inquisitions greatest agents...

... Ah... But her aura, it spoke volumes to one such as I. I saw, in her, someone who was indeed strong in her own ways. A child she may look... But nothing could be farther from the truth. As an Inquisitor, she was leery of me... I can only assume, in those initial tense moments, she saw me for what I really was. Either way, there were more important things to tend to, at that point in time than either of our suspicions about each other.

Her attitude and position, as an Inquisitor, showed certain... Racial undertones. She spoke down to me, as a Nix, and forbade me to be involved in the exorcism ritual which was to involve one of my crew, Ariel. I, being the foremost in such matters among my crew, was denied participation due to being non-human.

Ultimately, it may not have mattered much whether I was involved or not, as the end result would have probably been the same. However, when it was all said and done, and The Assassin lay burning at our feet... I confronted her none-the-less over the issue. Maybe not the smartest of moves on my part considering her dogs, Slade and Jasmine, were present... But it had to be done in my eyes. I was not going to allow her prejudices to endanger the safety of my... Friends...

If we are to have dealings with Those Who Stand The Line, I am afraid then that much of them will be through Yasmin. Whether this is a good or bad thing, I am unsure. However, I am willing to, at least, make the attempt so long as the others involved are...

Damnit, more Inquisition. Stupid inhuman monsters across the Terminus Line making the Inquisition interfere in our money-making.

Another good job.

Wonderful...now the only thing running through my head is...

"Nobody expects the Colonial Inquisition!"

in a Pythonesque voice.

thanks DL...real great.

gripping aside...wonderful piece though a bit hard to see any details on Yasmin with the black on black color scheme.
