For those who haven't yet seen them, these are the symbols for use in Neo Redux. All 18 official types are represented, plus Cosmic, Sound, Light, and Cyber (respectively, on the bottom). They were included merely because they are some of the most commonly requested "fan-types," and I was asked to create symbols for them.
Don't ask me what the type matchup for those types would be, either. I haven't thought about it, and since they aren't types that I necessarily agree with, I don't really plan to!
I did alter the "official" colors to those more of my liking.
UPDATE 12/9/11:
Dragon symbol is now the official Dragon-type TCG symbol found in the upcoming Dragon Selection set.
UPDATE 5/23/13:
With the new Fairy-type Pokémon appearing in Pokémon X/Y, I decided to create a symbol for the type, based on Sylveon's bow.
HUGE UPDATE 6/1/13:
I've decided to completely update the way the symbols are presented (a bit more stylized). The names of the types are now found underneath the symbols as well. Bird-type has been removed in this version. Please download for full-view!
UPDATE 6/11/13:
Looks like Fairy-type is real! The new Eeveelution, Sylveon, is confirmed Fairy, and Jigglypuff, Marill, and Gardevoir have Fairy added onto their original types. Another new Pokémon, Flabébé, has also been shown (pure Fairy).

You discovered Fairy-types before they came out in X & Y back in late 2013.
But other than that, we NEED those other four types at the bottom. In fact, we should have had them a long time ago at some point or another. (Gen 4 preferably)

I’m thinking of Cyber as Pokémon like the Porygon evolutionary line and Pokémon like that..

So i am working on a project... Is it possible that i use it in my project. I wont be selling any copy's of it however since i will be taking donations in the near future to handle server fees it may be considered commercial work
Would i need to pay for a usage license or can i just use them with a mention in the about tab?

Light would probably be strong against Dark and Ghost type Pokemon. But weak against Electricity since it's just energy. And maybe Fairies since they manipulate it in some fiction.

As a suggestion, I'd renamed them into ".... gamma ..." and picked a single color for each.

Cosmic > Fire, Steel, Rock (No oxygen = no fire, Our weapons will be useless if invaded, Asteroids and orbit)
Cosmic < Ghost, Psychic, Poison, Fighting (We would depend on paranormal and supernatural to save us, aliens aren't immune to diseases, aliens are thin and fragile)
Light > Dark, Ghost, Ice (Sun rises and super heroes beat darkness, ever played Luigi's mansion?, The sun rays melt ice)
Light < Grass, Fire, Dark (Photosynthesis, Sun is fire, Moon rises and some villains beat heroes)
Don't really care for Sound and Cyber

Light-type would make sense, as we already have Dark-types.
Cosmic-type wouldn't be too far-fetched, considering some of the Legendary Pokémon's Roles and Lore, and even an Alien.
Cyber-type, while niche, isn't completely out of the question, as we have a Pokémon literally made out of a raw Data.
Sound-type however, seems too niche, I know some Pokémon out there play a role with sonic abilities, but to make an entire catagory out of them alone is somewhat redudant when they already belong to the Normal-typing.

I don't really think we need any new types at all, but I'm not sure we agree on Light-type. Dark-type, as a whole, is more heavily themed on fighting dirty and using underhanded tricks on your opponent. Fighting-types are, in that regard, the foil to Dark-types (fighting fair). To an extent, Fairy-types are as well. I think the introduction of the Fairy-type was partly Gamefreak's answer to "Light-type," seeing as many Pokémon fans wanted a Light-type for were included (such as the Togekiss line). From a standpoint of physical light, that can be covered by existing types, as light-based attacks are a variety of types.
While I agree that sound-based Pokémon are best suited for other types, mostly Normal, I think it would have the best chance to become a type in the future. That being said, I don't think it'll happen.

I don't think it's needed. It doesn't cover anything that isn't already covered -- it's fine as a subgroup of Pokémon.

I see your rock and ghost icons were inspired by the rock terrain symbol from the Indigo league and the fog badge from Morty's gym in Gold/Silver, that's a neat nod to existing media.

I see what you did there. Totally stole that Light symbol from Digimon - maybe turned it 45 degrees to the side.

I really like the idea of "Cosmic" (Deoxys, Lunatone, Solrock, Solgaleo, Lunala); "Sound" (Chatot, Meloetta, Whismur, Noivern, Primarina, Jigglypuff); "Light" (Solgaleo[?], Solrock, Sunny Castform and all "sunny" and bright pokémon); and "Cyber" (like Rotom).
I think other types too, like "Fossil" (a type that can replace Rock, pre historic Pokémon fossils are made from rocks, but it alive are not rocks); "Lava" (lava is not fire, but is just my idea... water can't stop lava ); "Nuclear" (chemicals, and their "children", like Muk and Grimer - yeah, its toxic, but is too chemical ); "Mud" (like Mudkip and Wooper, maybe Palpitoad and Gastrodon); and "Mineral" (Carbink, Diancie and Sableye, that have crystal and odes).

I can definately see Cyber being a thing in the near future, as well as Cosmic, since space flight and computer technology improve more and more.
Also, they look awesome.
