Description
A interesting commission to say the least, one that had me browsing traditional clothing for a long time, before finally settling on the Furisode kimono. The mask is based on a Han dynasty figure.The commissioner requested a traditional fox-coloured kitsune, holding a human faced mask. The kimono is dirty, ragged and not properly tucked in at the top, because although the Kitsune knows how to wear the kimono, she doesn't know it should be presentable.
In all I had loads of fun with this commission

belated comment on what ~Sethrea said about the textile (and Im not trying to be negative here) - the point of what the kitsune is wearing is that the details are *slightly* off, as she doesnt know the intimate details of japanese culture; so I feel that Illahie got it completely right

This idea is so cool, i've seen numerous pictures of people with kitsune-masks, but this is my first time seening a reverse one. It's really nicely done too, the kimono is beautiful and the background really reminds you of old japanease paintings. Good job!

Its been said over and over again I'm noticing but I really like this a lot. The mask and kimono really fit with the idea of the Kitsune being a spirit of shape shifting and trickery. (not always bad though!)
