Description Red-shouldered Hawk


This guy was very pale compared to most of the red-shouldered hawks we see - and for once I could actually see the red shoulders they are named for.

Thanks! They are lovely, but woe to you if they nest near your house because they will dive bomb you.

Heh. Sadly, both MGM and I agree that if a hawk's nest appeared in our yard we would happily duck and endure the attacks just to watch the nest.
