I've joined deviantart for sharing my drawings not my crochet amigurumis but Third Doctor I've finished yesterday has turned out so incredibly perfect I want to show him just everywhere. So here he is

For most of my amis I use Martian Boy pattern (it's for Tenth Doctor, I believe I have it mentioned by picture of him) with adaptations to make the particular Doctor/other character. If that's what you meant...?

I've crochet a cap, covered the hair cap with loops (one terrible work! %)) ), then sewed the hair cap to head and finally shred the loops and make some minimum trimming of hair (cut short somewhere and so). I'm not sure if I'd be able to do that again the same way! %D

Yeah, incredibly great. I'm fighting with making hair every time I do an amigurumi and there are only few of them I am pretty satisfied with. This time I was (and still am) really excited from did he end up (generally, but the hair is big part of it all, it could ruin all crochet doll)
