this has a feeling of build up thats about to be released now. als those hands remind me of a piece that an artist that i used to follow drew, it was called trees or something. did you take inspiration from that?

I like how the hands start out dark, but if you look lower, they're just coated in dark.

I like the underlying colours you used to convey black. It looks like marker.

It's both eerie and elegant, which I LOVE!! It caught my attention right away! The one thing that I find a little bit awkward is that the face feels a little small in proportion to the head, I would try enlarging the features and/or spacing them out a bit. Also, I really love the way you painted the hair, it's so ethereal! You're so good at that!

A pretty work. I like how the black is not entirely monochromatic but still gives us that dark feeling, a tough balance to strike.

I really love how you paint the skin with those mix of colors.
Also I like the concept, between the title of this deviation and the emotion the picture has, with those black hands touching her skin you can feel how a disturbance is going to start, specially looking at those glowing eyes and the hair (the feel of movement).

Dark, mysterious, creepy and overall very unique. I especially love the shadow-like vines covering her body (not the hands; the patterns behind the hands). The hands themselves looks both threatening, yet gentle; it makes you wonder if she is getting dragged down, or if she is just being admired like a god. Also, I LOVE the colors; cold yet warm.Β

Its symbolic to the impact of mental illness, basically. The weight, and feeling like you're being dragged down, or suffocated, drowned, etc.

Your more simplistic style never ceases to really capture my attention. I'm one for abundance (minimalism isn't a strong suit) I'm LOUD in my art, with colors and highlights and everything. Despite that, however, talking about your art specifically here, I always get reminded that indeed simple = more, sometimes a lot more. Here it's obvious with the eyes; your eyes are drawn to hers at first, what with all the light of course, and then it travels to the *hands*. The hands give me chills! Especially because the brain blurs it out as mere shadows at first (which I'm assuming is the point haha). Don't know if you'd take this as a compliment or not, but, honestly, the first thing that pops into my head is Korra in the Avatar State from the series LOK (especially since she cut her hair like this in the last season!)
