Just put down colours kind of near what you want and play with all the colour settings your art program has :3

It takes a while to find what I want, but it's 100% worthwhile

I really love the colour palette that you used. It is unusual, but it really makes the leaves "pop" against the hair.
Shame to read that you are going through a bit of a block. Personally I find that art kinda comes in waves.. sometimes watching a good movie of reading a fascinating book can spark it up again. Good luck!

Yeah, I'm gonna work on the art camp I bought, wanna do it with me? I'm thinking of only a few people and keeping it on the DL (because it was like, 200 quid lol) but I don't mind sharing the weekly goals with some friends to motivate myself.Β

Also improve cuz I suck lulz

You don't suck, shoosh it you! It may suck to you, but your level of work is a goal for some people like me. (:

I would love to join you! How much would it be to join? (:Β  It is a shame that the FB group on feedback and improvement is no longer active, I got some really good advise of that.Β

No money you silly billy. I've already bought the art camps a while ago.

It's just me sharing the homework he set for each week. And doing it with someone to keep me motivated :3

I'll make a small Facebook group and see how it goes!

either way

American systems and the British system have way too many children, too much work and not enough pay.

I get paid well and my actual lesson time is like 5-6 hours maximum. Mostly my time is taken up with travelling.

Also the largest classes I teach is 13 children. So. Yeah.

But if kids are naughty we stop the games and copy in silence for a minute. That minute feels like a century for kids lol.

Again, kids mostly want to be there so there's little issues with behaviour other than kids being excitable and chatty.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Evodolka In reply to Ilyaev [2017-11-13 13:10:34 +0000 UTC]

yeah, i can see that, most classes i have had in the past the students were like a flock of seagulls, just screaming and doing their own thing it was just chaos
nice to hear you get payed well, it could have been worse
13 children sounds a lot more manageable than 26 (my high school was a big place)

"But if kids are naughty we stop the games and copy in silence for a minute. That minute feels like a century for kids"
ok THAT is ok
with the 80% of teachers i had would single out the people who aren't doing anything and make their year a living hell
i had like 9 people in my class who were total douche bags and would actually spit at people and say how they want to kill you and all they got was a "don't do that" but when someone like me endures that for 5 years an then FINALLY punches them i get told i am a problem child with failures for parents, it was just backwards
sorry for the rant there

your class sounds like a godsend compared to my old classes, best of luck with them

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Ilyaev In reply to Evodolka [2017-11-13 13:52:36 +0000 UTC]

Paid* sorry haha.Β

Singling kids out doesn't work, but especially so in Japan. Kids will see someone singled out and will entirely isolate them. The whole "ignore them like a ghost" is a huge bullying technique so you can't do that. Mostly I use peer pressure to a limit, I'll scold them and then if they keep chatting I just won't do anything, their classmaters will tell them to stfu.Β

But again, its entirely different to the western schools. Japanese kids are well behaved, and are worked from early until 10pm daily. They don't have energy to do anything but behave.Β

I like teaching, the kids are hilarious, and we have lots of giggles

Evodolka In reply to Ilyaev [2017-11-13 13:56:50 +0000 UTC]

sorry i should have known that one

in my previous schools singling out made the others attack like sharks in a frenzy, not a single day was safe for the one singled out
that is actually pretty neat, never seen that method before

just hit me now are you teaching in japan?
that's neato, i hear it is very uniform over there but i have no idea as i have been stuck in England all my life

sounds like a blast, good luck with them
