Thank you. Β I can't seem to get that soft brush you are getting. Β I have my "Brush Tip Shape" size > 9px, angle > -16, roundness > 40, hardness > 0, spacing > 1%, "Size Jitter" > Control > Fade, "Angle Jitter" > Control > Pen Pressure, "Airbrush" and "Smoothing". Β I get stuck on Step Three. Β I have trouble replicating what I see in the picture provided Β Β

Me too! You have no idea how frustrated the task of painting fire left me until I finally cracked on a way that worked (for me at least!).

Yeah that would work! I think I know what you mean, like the Hue/Saturation or Color Balance tool in PS??

Finja-ohne-N In reply to Imaliea [2013-12-18 17:15:58 +0000 UTC]
its color balance i think

man, painting fire is easy
Just throw your paint bucket at it
(careful for possible explosions ofc!)

really helpful for other artists... fire is one of those things that is hard to get looking correct even when everything else in a picture can look good, you totally nailed it though :>
