Perhaps she is thinking If I show her my magnificent daemon companions, she will surely be impressed and agree to be my wife. Or so I like to imagine. This is beautiful!

Depended on how convoluted the motives and respective intelligences of the 'characters' in this image - Everything from this creepy fem' plotting to kill this other fem' (in the crystal ball) in her lair with her creepy-cool minions...  to the woman in the ball is Actually the one who is directing the creepy lady to plot to kill her (but the creepy lady may or may not know that) and the minion things are posing as working for this lady on the orders of the lady in the image in the ball but they Actually work for the lady here in her lair because they need her to kill the other lady and get (or release) some power, so that they can then kill her to gain access to that power which they've actually been after for (pick your long period of time).
Only really the woman here in her lair is the one who convinced the girl in the ball to secretly push her (the woman in the lair) to make an assassination plot against the woman in the ball only to make it easier to kill her for real except there's an even more shadowy figure (unpictured) who is in fact setting up this woman to fail at actually killing the girl in the ball when she pretends to kill the girl in the ball so as to prevent her succeeding to keep the minion things from being any closer to getting what They want But this figure also really wants the girl seen in the ball dead for independent reasons, if said figure can see it happen without forwarding the goals of the minion things.
....  Sorry.
