A new shot of me as Arthas, taken during Roma Comics and Games 2013. This time I had a professional working on my make up, who made a considerably better job than me. I've made some improvements on the costume since two years ago: changed the two boots' skulls into bigger ones and added an azure shade to the ice stalactites.

Thank you for this critique as well, I'm really glad I have managed to impress you. As for your question, I wish I had the possibility to go to Blizz-Con with my Arthas and my new Blood Elf Warrior's costumes, but unfortunately it is a bit too far for me
One day I'll go there, I promise, I'd really love to take part in the costume contest!!
Oh, and the ice... well, in this photo you don't see it much, check some of my other pictures and you will see that I put some azure in the icy effect on the armor

Sadly I will not be able to go this year due to surgery. But one of my costumes will be going. Maybe more of my pieces will be there. Look out for photos. LOL

I posted about it in my journal as well as a ton of recent new pieces that might make it into my new book. I hope, who knows. I am self publishing. I might just get a upgraded account to get feedback on what should go into the book or not. I want some visual work and written. A good mix, a feast for the senses so to speak. Why haven't you made it to BlizzCon? Same reason as me, ticket prices and the massive fast sell out or the travel? Other reason?

It was a tumor but ended up NOT being cancer, so dodged that C-bullet, but still has a tumor larger than a golf ball in my foot and was not able to walk well. Basically spent two or more months feeling my butt grow LOL. Played a TON of WoW. LOL. Again wrote a funny journal post about it last night, its AFTER all the poetry and crap.

I am a writer myself and I can understand the feeling: when something hits you hard in life, it has to make it to a your book, or else what's the point of being a writer and telling stories?
As for Blizzcon, I didn't make it because I'm Italian, planes from here are expensive as hell, as well as tickets, so it was kind of impossible. Besides, I've just learnt Italy is not among the nations whose citizens can compete in the costume contest Β°__Β°

Sono stato molto calorosamente invitatoΒ alla trilogia di Phedre da un mio amico ed Γ¨ una lettura relativamente recente, per cui i nomi sono ancora abbastanza freschi nella mia memoria.
I vostri cosplay sono molto belli! E' interessante confrontare le vostre rappresentazioni con le immagini che mi sono costruito nella mente durante la lettura, e devo dire che non siete distanti da quel che avevo in testa! Joscelin e Melisande, in particolare, sono particolarmente simili a come me li immaginavo.

And it's very important for me to see that people grasped the idea of what I tried to do with Arthas: his proportions and shape are completely unnatural, impossible to reproduce especially for a thin guy like me.
