Told you it was just a matter of time.
I got Twilight Princess at christmas and played it non stop for days. I really got a feeling for the world. Everything is presented with so much character. Even after I beat the game, I would just ride around breathing it all in. The story got to me in many ways. One was watching the actuall story, and how the characters developed. But another was reading between the lines. I've had hours of fun linking places, people and events to the other games, or guessing what they're not telling us.
It appears this game's most successful character is Midna. Looking around Deviantart proves that I guess. They really did a good job with her personality. In the beginning when she is treating Link like a servant I was thinking how much of an ass she was. Then later they manage to turn that around completely. Brilliant!
I really wanted to do a picture of just about everything in the game, but I can't make fan art all the time. I loved the twilight worlds and Hyrule field, so that had to go in there, and since I've made a few Links, Midna was an obvious choice.
*Minor Spoilers*
Surfing around, I've noticed that no one has made pictures of Midna when she uses the Fused Shadows, so I had to give it a go. There is no reference out there as far as I know, so it was done from memory. In case this isn't common news or disproved allready, I am more or less 100% percent certain that Midna and the Twili are connected to the tribe that created Majoras Mask (if not the same) and her fused form only further confirms it. Not going to go into detail, I just have to write it somewhere I guess. (Fan forums are evil...)

Just one more thing that I realised a few weeks ago. Remember this? [link] This was made long before there was even a mention of Midna, let alone a screenshot. I find it odd that they look so much alike. It's not the first time this has happened. Game companies make designs simmular to old consepts of mine all the time. Coincidence of corse, but still...

Well the gamecube and wii versions of the game are mirror images of each other, so for the gamecube it covers the left eye, on the wii, it covers the right.

I know what you mean about your Red Snakes concept art. I've had that phenomenon happen to me every couple of years, and nearly every time it happens, I know that neither I nor the company stole the other's designs. I ended up calling it "parallel creativity" whenever pointing these coincidences it out to my friends.

I always think Midna's fused Shadow god form is like something STRAIGHT out of a Miyazaki movie especially princess Mononoke, with the nightwalker and his "deathwalker" headless form.

It's an amazing pic. The colours and shading are great. You captured the part where Midna uses the Fused Shadows pretty well. All in all, it's a great pic.

probably why there's not many fused shadow form pics is because its an odd form to draw, kind of like a squid mixed with a spider, that creates giant spears of darklight, drawing that just sounds intimidating, but you did a good job

Considering that the Wii version is a mirrored version of the Gamecube game, it can be on any side really. If you want to debate what side is the "true" side, I don't really feel it's a descussion I feel any need to partake in.

Wow... The coloring... the detail on Midna's helmet, and her fused shadow form, which I have not seen anywhere else... This is brilliant! 8D
The whole mood of the picture is just awesome, too.
I have to agree with you that Midna was the most successful character in the game. At the beginning when she's treating Link like crap, you just wanna pull her head off and feed it to a deku baba. But then, her personality practically does a 180, and you just fall in love with her.
Then the ending smacks you in the face. >:

The detail on Midna's Fused Shadow is marvelous. Not only the pose she making looks cute, but the way you drew is is quite amazing, especially for her multitasking hair of her. The colors and shading for this picture is nicely gritty as well. Heck, even her Fused Shadow form looks epic in the background, in which it looks nicely detail as well.
Wow, why haven't I seen this picture sooner? It really detail, rich colors, and incredible atmosphere of showing Midna in the twilight. This piece is just awesome...

The picture is beautiful, I haven't seen Midna as her fused Shadow form at all, now that I think about it...But you really pulled the atmosphere of the game and Midna herself well. I like how dark and spooky you made her otherform in the background, gives me some instilled fear of her XD
And, twili = Majoras Mask tribe? Duuuude you blew my mind with that. I hadn't even thought of such a concept, but that would be so awesome.
