Someone said they'd chop me up and feed me to orphans because I said Twilight was overrated.
Not that I hated it.
BUT IT WAS OVERRATED.

Overrated is the truth. Any body rabid enough a fan to wish death upon someone with a simple opinion needs a serious reality check.

Often I wonder what the creator would think about situations such as these...

It's happened before to me on several occasions. The creator of the pictures/fanart that have deathwishes from commenters generally believe that they are stupid, immature and know that such children can't stand the fact that different opinions exist.

That's true. XD We all will die someday. Though it's really sad that the people who wish it upon others don't realize how empty their threats sound to the receiving end.

It's sad people would wish something as stupid at any rate; I don't think someone deserves to die just because they got in an argument with someone snotty enough to wish that person dead.

Nope. It's just a pitiful attempt at insulting. Since younger people or, those who don't know any better assume that opinions are serious business and facts that they get too wound up about it. Thus, calling people names, even wishing death upon people. And last but not least, blocking someone for it.

One word: Wolfaboos. This describes them.
"ALL HUNTRZ SHOOLD DEI BECUZ DEY HARM DUH WULFZ!1!!1one!!"
"SARAH PALIN IS EBIIL BECUZ SHE SUPORTZ HUNTING WULFS!11!!one! I DUN CAER IF SHE HURTZ OR HELPZ OUR COUNTRY SHE HAETZ WULFS SO SHE SHOOLD DEI!!1!" (Out of all the reasons to hate Palin, this is the worst. It doesn't matter if they could help or hurt the country, it only matters if they like wolves.)

Unfortunately, many people learn by example and we have an entire generation in the USA at least raised under the belief if there is something they want or do not like they can scream and get their way.
Wish that there were consequences for insufferable actions taken against others online. That case a few years ago of a teenager being driven to suicide because of a girl who hated her and her mother faking being a love interest online and bullying her. As much as people mocked that event, it should have been a wake up call that things are getting bad and will only get worse.
Until there is a real life consequence for actions online though, no one will care because they do not see the other person, just the bits of information that represents them.

That's the problem with people today on the internet. Although, people should learn not to take everything so seriously, there is a line that shouldn't be crossed.
Wishing death upon someone is very inane. I personally think it shouldn't be done. You're right, people will not give a crap because they don't put words to a face. I don't necessarily think that wishing death upon someone will always cause someone commit suicide since it depends on the circumstance of the situation.
I do believe that people who wish death upon others because of a measly opinion is just awful. People these days get so worked up over opinions, it's just mind boggling. :/

All about the sensationalist entertainment/news of the decade. They noticed they got nice ratings with ranting extremists and added more of them.
People get to imitating and eventually it just sets in.

Right. And not only that, but it's not particularly offending either. There are way more creative ways to show distaste to someone or their actions anyway =/
On the internet, especially if you don't know who this person may be, you could be wishing death upon someone you could be friends with if you happen upon them in RL.. senseless comment.
