Dropping watermarks from the SoN series...So, this is a Luna Moth. Not sure if that's the real name, or just what the local lore calls it. The only problem I have with photographing a Luna Moth is that I can never find a whole one... If you look at the tail, you'll notice something has torn this guy up a bit.
Actually, we find bright green wings on our porch all the time, it's pretty sad...

Yeah... I do a bit of wandering around and photographing. Not as much as I want to, but a bit. I was tempted to bring this one moth home that I saw at work...but it was already dead, and I had no way to transport it. Besides, photographing dead bugs isn't nearly as cool...

I only found out about the mothman a litle while ago, and only realized that it was in your state after I had typed it up, but not sent it...

It'll help with the wanderlust, and it's probably one of the best places for photography I can think of on this side of the appalachians (we're in the smokies, though)
