After having had such a rough meeting with Jeff's fist, Paul made sure to not meet him again anytime soon. There were enough people around at HS to participate or just watch the show to not run into each other.

Still, Paul was fairly glad when it was finally time for his ride. He warmed Barney up and then took the young stallion into the arena.
He was a good jumper, but a great show-off and as soon as he spotted all the eyes on him, he began his old game again, of concentrating more on looking good than actually focusing on the jumps.

Paul however tried his best to get Barney's focus on what was really important. Sure, it was Barney's first show and there still was a lot to learn, but to Paul right now was as perfect a time to learn as ever.
