To go along with the post apocalyptic vintage British world I'm creating, here's another fraction to take your interest,
The bobbies I call them, named after their ancestors who were policemen in 20th century British society, I have given him the typical British copper look, with the hat and the dark blue uniform, on top of his uniform he wears miss match of post apocalyptic armour, making good use of old roadsigns and car tyres to protect his shoulders and torso, he carries a British riot police shield which is circular and see through, for a weapon he carries an old school police truncheon, perfect for cracking skulls in the post apocalyptic barbarity

Bobbies are the reminants of the old pre war police units who also formed into militias much like the army, with a advantage in training and organisation against the various tribals that spread havoc around the demolished cities. Initially they worked together with the military in an attempt to maintain order after the bombs fell. This had the military supply them with small arms and ammunition. But as time went on with the situation becoming more drastic, they eventually were pitted against the military and other police units for the sake of survival. Many spread out from the cities into the countryside and formed armed militias and communities just like the military did, allowing their technological and organisational edge to capitulate other civilian survival groups. As time went on however they found themselves at odds with the much more equipped military groups and soon as the Tommies expanded their influence, these groups of bobbies were capitulated or assimilated into the militias organisation. The only tribes of bobbies to survive now are those located in and under the ruins of the old cities. These surviving bobbies long ago abandoned their guns when their ammo ran dry and soon utilised their abundance of pre war riot gear to get an advantage against the less organised Tribes of holligans, punks and skins. They are fearsome warriors in the post war world with their heavy black riot gear intimidating other gangs. The bobbies hope to restore order with their tactics of heavy shock formations. In recent years they have negotiated a piece with the Tommies, which is for them to be in control of the old world cities, keeping other tribals suppressed and away from the counties farms. So the Bobbies are in a constant urban war with all the other tribals that want control of the city ruins and beyond
