After half a month of nothing, I'm FINALLY able to put something up!
Scarecrow: Year One is just so amazing.
Crane's history is really sad and brutal, but his Scarecrow self is just so badass! I encourage you to find it and read it! 
God, this took so long... Maybe a week, on and off? I've never had so much trouble with a drawing in a long time. I'm not sure if I got his colors right, since they always seemed to be changing in the book... And I couldn't get the blue to fade into the black and that blood moon just looks wonky.
Oh well, I'm really happy with how this turned out! Those pumpkins and crows were fun to draw. The corn field...eh, it looked better before I started coloring it in. You can't even make out the corn stalks anymore.Done with ink marker and a bunch of prisma colored pencils that my friend let me borrow. Time taken....about a week.

Thats a really awseome picture! The blood moon adds a nice effect to the picture, along with the crows. Scarecrow is one of those villains that you HAVE to love. One of my favorite versions was his redesign in Batman: The animated series. It gave him a bizzare sort of western preacher look! And I saw the link for TB scarecrow. He looked really interesting, with the chains and crap

the scarecrow in thebatman would have been good. his face was creepy.
i like the design of the joker in that link,
i think for a batman more aimed at teenagers (like batman beyond) it would have worked out better than the current one.

Should have add some mist in front of the cornfield and the moon, gives that effect of the Scarecrow.
What kind of sad and brutal story does Crane have? I love to hear it from you. I'm a DC Comics fanatic.

I never even thought of that.
Well, it seems to be that his mother never wanted the child and wanted him killed, and his grandmother despised him, but kept him alive, instead of burying him in the garden at birth like his mother wanted. His grandmother raised him in Georgia, making him do all the work out in the field and whenever he did something "wrong", she'd take him to the aviary in his "best suit" and once inside, a murder of crows would come flocking down to attack him. Other kids beat him up because he was so skinny, like a scarecrow.
Then, when he was a professor's student at college (or wherever) he shot an empty gun in class for the effects of fear and was fired, so the rest of the story is him getting back at his real father and the professor that betrayed him to the school.

thats deep and messed up. But what happen to his father? you never mention anything about his father. that is if the father divorced his mother. Or the mother got angry at the father of wishing to have a son and she found out that he's been cheating on her so she tried to have a revenge on him by almost killing her newborn son. idk. that's what I thought

I REALLY love his outfit design.
Scarecrow is an awesome villain, and I am disappointed that this character was never added in 'The Batman' cartoon, because I would of loved to have seen his design in there.
Don't worry, I suck at backgrounds too, but at least you tried (I just end up not doing them).

I found one for Joker as well. Personally, I'd stick with his crazy, playful long-haired design any day. He just doesn't look right with shorter hair.

I admit, I really love the new Scarecrow design (and I'm sad to see that it was never used).
I do love his costume design, but I don't really care for his "face" that much. ...if that makes sense.
I think it's the hair.
As for Joker...yeah...that particular Joker design looks better with those longer dreadlocks.

Yeah Scarecrow is a cool character all right, which is why it's fun to know he's kinda Joker's friend in the fic you're writing. (I say "kinda" because I'm not entirely sure how there first reunion is going to go!)
