Remember that batch of wild baby bunnies we had to raise or they would have been tilled in with the rest of the garden?
We kept them fed and sheltered all winter, and now they are free rabbits.
We actually have seen them about.
Here's the friendliest little female of the batch, I dubbed Piddles. (Because she'd piddle on me whenever I fed her treats. And yes, bunny piddle is orange if they eat enough carrots.)
She was happily hopping around a brush pile, munching grass for me. I took several dozen shots but this one was just too much.

Yep, I can just see the three little females of the batch in the back yard, lined up with their new litters... 'Hey! You did such a great job raising us, could you babysit these for a bit?'
We've seen them about, and they appear to be doing fine. Dinki was upset her flock was released, though.

Problem solved with the new giant bunny. And better yet, we just got 3 black and white piglets that are convinced Dinki is another pig.....
