I'll probably be doing some more monster sketches from time to time, so feel free to suggest some!(it would be doubly-helpful if you could find some references, too~) c:
We always see pictures of our favourite heroes... and yet, the monsters never get any recognition?
Come on, without them, what would our beloved hero get to destroy along the way in their attempt to save the world?
They deserve some looooove~
...there would be a lot more sketches if only these creatures were more popular. I can't even find reference pictures. >:

Here we have (top-bottom, left-right):
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption - Reptilicus
-- Encountered on the planet Bryyo, and quite common creatures at that. Six-legged reptilian creature (derivable from its species' name, I think). Fast, agile, and attack with electrical whips and boomerangs. Ouch.
Metroid Prime: Sheegoth
-- Encountered in Phendrana Drifts, an adult sheegoth is a rather scary encounter the first time around. Freezing ice attacks and overall very big and scary. She has so many eyes! (and is probably mad that you've killed quite a few of her offspring)
Okami: Tube Fox
-- First encountered inside the Water Dragon. They squeal. They also suck the ink right out of you, literally! How annoying of them. They're also fast, but fight just like the canine warriors. It's also rather amusing to watch them spin on their heads with they die with a sound similar to that of a deflating balloon. What's left is purple foxfire!
Metroid Prime: Zoomer
-- Encountered here and there (non-specific location is a result of only just starting to get through this game). I have yet to find out if there is really a huge difference between Zoomers and Geemers. They're rather funny little creatures, wouldn't you say? Walking, spiked pain just waiting for you in the shadows (goodness knows how many times I've accidentally stepped on one). :c
Okami: Lockjaw
-- Encountered basically everywhere in the game. Man, I'd love to have one of these guarding my house. xD This monster poses no threat to our hero Amaterasu, and rather makes me laugh every time I see it start twitching hysterically after being headbutted. Ah, the joys of animated inanimate objects~
Okami: ...the... creepy eye lamp
-- Encountered on Oni Island. I have no idea what this is called. |: But it sure is creepy. It's basically a lamp. Without a light. But instead, has an eye. It watches you, you know. That's why you must power slash it shut (lamp cruelty?).
Maplestory: Manon
-- Encountered somewhere in the game. I don't play Maplestory, and never have, so I really can't say where. My friend suggested I draw this monster, though, because he/she/it is unloved and awesomely fat. I wonder how he/she/it flies?

Ahaha, I love monsters.
Again, I'll probably be compiling more of these, since they're so fun to draw.

The sheegoth scared the crap out of me at first as a boss but then annoyed the hell out of me when it became a common bad guy to defeat. I mean yea it's badass and it's fun to fight it but god it takes forever to kill it.
I love Lockjaw, I always purposely ram into it just so it can make that blarghdklasdjask noise xD
You did an awesome job sketching these. Personally I find it difficult to draw a fan art characters accurately let alone if it's monsters 
btw...LockJaw...isn't that the same name as that piranha minion in Donkey Kong Country 2?

I totally agree with you though, they are such a pain when you're trying to get places and you don't have the plasma beam yet. >:I I usually just run like the wind. |D;

i don't underate reptilicus...they are one of the few race i like(having chozo,then them and for last luminoth)...since phyrigisians aren't my thing and gandrayda is not my style drawing human faces(those damn expresions i have to do are a hell...not to talk about anatomy urgh!...)...and recently made a reptilicus human hybrid char to roleplay or create a story,what happens first.oh and nice sketches!

I used to run circles around them just to check out what they looked like, haha. xD;
I also have to say that I love each of the other races you mentioned as well, they're all so neat! I don't really have much to say about phyrigisians in general, but I really loved Rundas because he was always so friendly toward Samus. ;u;
And Gandrayda was.. very strange. And also very pink. You are right, heh, human expressions and anatomy are difficult to get right. >:I

I also don't post / give away art without my name on them somewhere in case they are reposted or whatnot. In any case, I don't even have the original anymore - I've changed computers since then so the watermarks are permanent. xD;

This is very well done. You did a good job of drawing the bad guys! I do agree that they need more, as you say, love.
I like the way you did the Tube Fox, their one of my favourite monsters from okami, except the Dark Lord Ninetails whose my absolute favourite. I think the name you gave for the very creepy eye lamp suits it quite well.

I've always loved looking at the concept art and derping around in fights just looking at the enemies instead of fighting them. Some of them really have the neatest designs. o:
Yet nobody really seems to draw them so much, so I thought I would. :b
The Tube Fox is still one of my favourite sketches on this page. They're also quite entertaining to watch dancing around the screen. :b And omgyes, I've always wanted to draw Ninetails but never had a chance to get around to it. Maybe some day! :b
My sister even compiled a reference of screenshots and things for me to work off of. xD;

I remember the Baby Sheegoths we encountered in a big, spacious rooms that we simply blew up with a coupled of charged shots and missiles... And then... BOOM! Mama comes home. Scared the crap outta me! Oh, the horror until you get the Plasma... Plasma solves all your problems, but until then we suffered to Mama Sheegoths that appear everywhere!

The infants are trouble enough, but I really wasn't pleased when the big ones started popping up around Phendrana Drifts later in the game - you had to empty half your ammuntion into that thing to take it down. (Prior to the Plasma Beam, of course.)
And one room had two of them in it.

I haven't played Metroid Prime since I've drawn this (or prior to this piece, more likely), but as far as I remember, I never minded the small ones. A couple of charged shots and it was all good.
But you're right, the adult ones were quite annoying to deal with. I remember just how glad I was to finally get the plasma beam. xD;

Those are really awesome, my favorites are the zoomer and the reptilicus. Also, it would be really cool if you could draw a luminoth.
And now I wanna play Metroid Prime 2 but my brothers did so many scratch on the CD that it don't work anymore. Also the trilogy on wii is not sold in Qc.

I was thinking about drawing a Luminoth and a Chozo, but then I decided to focus mainly on monsters which people rarely draw (if ever).
(unfortunately, this also means I can hardly find reference pictures...)

The only thing I got a little confused about was, "And now I wanna play Metroid Prime 2 but my brothers did so many scratch on the CD that it don't work anymore."
I think maybe it should be "And now I wanna play Metroid Prime 2, but my brothers made so many scratches on the CD that it doesn't work anymore."

DANIEL + PRINNY =
Daniel's personality is kinda, uh, confident and a bit arrogant, I guess. He kinda acts like Momo (his ultra-cute shinigami master)'s mentor.
The prinnies don't really have personalities. They're just penguins. That (in the Disgaea video games) serve Etna (one of the other demons). Etna is cute too. xD
The prinnies do anything from housekeeping to fighting the good guys! YES!
