Page 10 of my lost Exalted project from White Wolf and Udon comics. If you're just tuning in, you can start here for the whole story.Kidale and Faka Kun run away some more, and the bad guy almost gets his face bitten off by the non-simhata.
This (and the rest of the following pages) came from my own layouts rather than ones provided (as before), which might be noticeable in pacing and composition, if not in style. At the same time, I still had guidelines... I don't often make every panel so crooked, nor fill with black.

Sweet angles, layout, linework. The speed lines (or whatever ya call 'em) look a bit overdone in the last panel, but it's a minor thing. Overall, really impressive comic art.

I was about to ask about smoke coming out of the bow, good thing I read other comments. The middle-right panel looks like it ought to have some action-lines...? Well, I guess the coloring stage can always throw that in.
Really like the angle/pose of him stopping in the bottom panel.

Nope. These pages represent the delivered content from my end. It would have been up to a typesetter with Udon to lay in the dialogue.
Personally I like comics where the artist lays down his own dialogue with an eye towards descriptive typography, like Dave Sim, Will Eisner, Nate Bellegarde or Stan Sakai, but that's a pretty non-traditional viewpoint these days.

but yeah i agree with you, an artist putting his own dialogue and typography in just gives it more of a fitting personality to the art.

Great stuff so far!! Did it take long getting used to drawing with the intuos3? I can't get the hang of it yet...

It took a little while... honestly, I spend every day working with a Cintiq, which is a top-end tablet/monitor hybrid that's just sweet as butter, and as a result I'm not 100% comfortable with the tablet myself... it always takes a couple hours to shift the muscle memory over to the tablet in my lap rather than before my eyes.
But I am pretty damn used to drawing digitally now, and that's become pretty comfortable. It takes a lot of time and practice, but I think I'm able to produce finished "ink" line-art in about the same time (or even a bit faster) than it used to take me to do just clean pencils.
Though I still occassionally draw and sketch in pencil, I've largely switched completely to drawing in-system.

I have CS2 also. I just went to check how to change the pressure sensitivity...
Turns out it's on by default, and the setting I thought I had enabled to activate pressure sensitivity was actually a jitter setting on the brush that I have had disabled for quite some time. A master of the Photoshops am I.
