Description The color of this antiqued brass wire really leads me to a different style than gold and silver do. This piece has a "mountain jade" stone, which is actually a type of white marble. It contrasts wonderfully with the darker wire that I wrapped it in. I played around with a style I haven't used much: attaching a separate piece of wire in front of the stone. It takes some more planning ahead of time, but I'm happy with how it turned out.

Great balance. So graceful and echoes the lines around the bail wonderfully. Still working on getting my swirls that even. I'm getting a bit addicted to the adding extra wire in the front myself.

(Being marble, is it really heavy for its size, or is that less noticible as a cab?)

Thanks! I've noticed you've been adding the front wires on a few of your pieces, too. I had to pre-shape this one to attach it, so I had a few attempts to get spirals I was happy with.

The marble is about as heavy as any stone that I wrap, so its weight isn't an issue at all.

That's your fault and Dusty's. It's been a great way to wrap those flat stones I couldn't resist but didn't work well with the coil which works best with cabs or even better double sided or my plain cab style. I need extra fingers, becuase I miss the twisted square and want to pull it in too. But it so doesn't behave!

Okay, I was curious, because I was playing with covelite awhile back and the weight difference was really enough to catch me of guard.

Planning schmanning. I just use my scraps and bend to hold. Such an elegant piece, the stone seems to glow. I like the choice of wires.

I agree, but you need to tell them, not me

(And I'm cheap/broke, so planning for minimal waste is important!)
